yep...some new bad girl and about 4 inches shorter i walked out of my hairdressers today!
i love barb!
i simply say, "i am feeling like a sassy, non-mom, do...do what you want!" and i love it
i had mckenna take these pictures in bad light outside on our deck after our "downey family birthday party" today. we have always had one birthday party for our kids where we invite our friends, neighbors and kids friends. my kids birthdays are all within 30 days of each other so instead of inviting the same people over every other week, we do one party.
this morning was payton's preschool parade!
to know payton, is to know that she is extrememly laid back, but i have to say, she was a little excited about going to school in her halloween costume this morning. she is a cheerleader this year, but quite frankly it is all about the pom poms!
the procedure is, the parents do the "drive-by drop off" as i like to call it, then park and stand along the walkway of the church and watch (and of course photograph) as there child's class walks by, basically getting 2 chances to wave hello as they walk by in a u-shaped path.
as they walked out cole got so excited to see payton, or "baby" as he calls her, he ran out into the parade and gave her a hug. distracting to the teachers and the other parading 3 year olds, but who cares total photo moment, right?
fall festival tonight at payton's preschool, will the fun and sugar highs ever end? LOL!
ok, so everybody is gone!
cathy, stacy, ali...so glad you are still here with me.
i got a new headset for my phone and wanted to try it out, but i had no one to call. Watch out Wendy i just may be calling you all day because i can hands free!
got an awesome box of the memories complete COASTERS by kolette yesterday...LOVE THEM!!!
also, got my 2006 simple scrapbooks planner...if you haven't gotten one yet, you really should i have BIG plans for this baby too!!! but my lips are sealed for right now...
could i have any more secrets?
gees, dontch just want ta cuss at me right now?
well feel free, you wouldn't be the first...LOL, LOL, LOL!
went to target this morning went into the $1 spot and dropped $5 in a heartbeat. i bought the kids section dishes and the coordinating forks and spoons. is it just my kids or does everyones kids secretly throw silverware in the garbage and you do not realize it is gone until your down to 1 fork in the drawer? the only ones they do not throw out are the fun themed ones...so i stocked up!
anyway...have a good day! don't be surprised if i call your house with my new headset phone!!!!
wouldn't that be cool? just randomly call people? might have to put that one in my bag of tricks!
i found the perfect mix...
well you did.
so the perfect oatmeal, so far, is...
old fashioned oats slow cooked for about 20-25 minutes in milk.
i put the oats in with the milk (before it boils) and cook at a very low heat (like 2 on my electric range)
lots of brown sugar...YUMMMMMMMY!!!
i tried twice and both times, oatmeal perfection!!
i have lots of LO's on my agenda this week and i still REALLY LOVE my printer...it rocks!!
i am kinda stuck in this white background phase, trying hard to break free. do you ever just get stuck in the same color phase? i mean i really like the LO's, but i keep getting drawn back to the white.
did you see the "where in the world is donna?" section lately? i am assuming not cause the only person who has commented on it was my mom on the phone the other day. november may be a months of exciting new things and announcements...STAY TUNED! dontcha just hate it when people tell you they have a secret and can't share it yet!! hee hee me too!
1. boil water or milk and salt
2. stir in oats
3. cook about 5 minutes over medium heat; stir occasionally.
this is day 3 of trying to make oatmeal and it still tastes like ass.
i love oatmeal, those that have traveled with me will tell you that every morning i order room service and get a BIG bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar. what do the hotels know that i don't about making good oatmeal? i mean not edible oatmeal...GOOD oatmeal!
is there a secret?
is it the oats?
IS IT JUST THE COOK?
the latter is most likely, the first day i burned the oatmeal. just got busy and forgot to "stir occasionally". the second day i cooked it too high and it was still really "oaty". this morning, i am eating it but it is just not smooth like my hotel oatmeal.
well i have about 1/2 a container left, if nothing else, look for an altered oatmeal canister at some point in the future!!
all oatmeal recipes and suggestions welcome!
i am totally into my printer...
when you see the layouts i have done in the past 2 days in the mag you will surely know they are the ones i did the days after receiving my printer.
i say everyone needs this printer!
did you hear that epson? LOL!
and this one
meet the newest member of my family!
isn't she beautiful?
she is all unpacked, hooked up and ready to go. she is even wireless!
i have already called cathy and she has given me a quick indesign tutorial for creating my first printer assisted 12 x 12 pages.
insert happy dance now!
"shake your groove thang, shake your groove thang, bay-by...show 'em how to boogie down"
ok here they are!
i spent the entire day with all of you and quite simply YOU AMAZE ME!
