so do you remember my post about being inspired to paint everyday?
i started yesterday.
i had ordered sheets of watercolor paper (hot press 140lb 22x30) from dickblick.com a while ago, pulled it out of its shipping box and started folding and tearing it into quarters.
each one of my pages are 15 x 11"
this is the first piece i created, it was just the painted sheet of paper last night and as i was falling asleep i began wondering if you could run the dried piece through the printer to get computer type onto it.
IT WORKS!!!
this morning i wrote this. i think it is best piece of prose i have ever written, i love it so much. i am so excited to everyday take my paints out and play because you just never know what you might discover.
the piece reads....
because in a world of opportunity you must,
passionately seek the differences
you would like to see made in yourself.
experiment with the boundaries
of your own limitations.
rediscover the hidden subconscious
that lies dormant in the mind of human potential.
seek out the courageous soul of self discovery
in the obscure moments of discouragement.
embrace the idea of unexpected ability
by allowing yourself to creatively play in a world only
you have the power to inspire.create the person you desire to be.
love the life you create.
live to create by non-definition.
my mom is here for easter and she about cried when she read it (thanks MOM!). she wanted me to put it on a shirt and a mug for her, so i put a section of the piece on some items at cafepress if your interested.
also, because of the sheer volume of orders we have taken for the camera bags, heather and i have decided to put a hold on taking any new orders while finishing up the ones we have. she has literally been working night and day and she deserves some time off with her family for the summer. however we will relaunch in the fall, in time for the holidays. thanks so much for your patience and support!!
