today's painting a day
- 8 x 10 canvas
- painted a layer of orange
- then added six 2" wide strips of masking tape, layered randomly
- then painted a thick coat of white paint (liquitex/titanium white)
- placed stickers down to spell inspired
- used oil pastel crayons to draw and rub in image of the heart and the orange around the edges
- peeled away stickers
- added "through a creative journey" using black ink and my new nib pen
- and voila!

i played in the art journal before i was inspired (no pun intended) to make the canvas.
i was inspired to play with masking tape and oil pastels
from watching the suziblu youtube videos that i linked to from michelle ward's blog the other day
i just love making stuff without a plan!
