so excited about my new "artist in you" stamp set with Unity.
i used the first prototypes a couple weeks ago on my new canvas tote
unity produces some of the best quality rubber in the industry and the stamped images are so crisp and perfect, even on my favorite, canvas!!now that i have some semblance of a studio in place i was able to spend some time creating and playing.
i just love how my projects came out. the great new organized creative space is a bonus too!this is made with canvas and what hancock fabrics called "monks cloth". i stamped the tree and quote onto the canvas with stazon, then machine stitched shipping tags, fabrics and added a wire wrapped key, charm and bottle.
this was cool, it is just 12 x 12 white cardstock. i painted it and while it was wet i crumpled it. paper dries really stiff and i then stamped the grasses along the bottom, layered in hand made flowers and stems and finished it with the quote.
the base of this layout is a 12 x 12 canvas page. then i adhered 12 canvas butterflies to the page, gessoed the whole thing and painted with white, pink, turquoise and yellow acrylics. behind the photo is a crumpled piece of dictionary paper and a 1/2 sheet of spiral notebook paper that i used the typewriter to add journaling to. on top of the photo i used my new cricut to cut the word "love" and stamped the quote onto my canvas tag, watercolored the tag and added a ribbon. used yellow ink to stamp the flourishes on the top right and bottom left side. added fabric and my new embroidered buttons.
kinda the same idea as the butterflies, but this time i layered only one larger canvas heart. i gessoed the entire page, then accented the edges with turquoise acrylic and watercolored the heart. I stamped one of my quote stamps directly onto the painted heart (after it dried), added the fabric word "adore " as the title. typewritten text and decorative stitching.
