last week was my moms birthday and all she wanted was a big canvas piece for behind her sofa.
mind you she has been asking me for years and this year i finally made it happen.
its a lot of pressure to make a big art canvas for your mom!
the piece is 4 ft x 3 ft and the subject matter for a lot of reasons symbolizes the blossoming relationship. the text hidden behind layers of paint is actually the hand written lyrics to "our song" "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", by stevie wonder is the song that my mother sang to me as a child...the song that we danced to at my wedding...the song that if she hears on the radio makes her cry.
