Hello from Canada! I wanted to share another tutorial with you while I'm gone. Maria McGuire sent us so many stunning tags I had trouble choosing one today, so I let Melissa the Studio Manager choose her favorite. She chose this one because it made her thing of spring and the warmer weather to come.
Flowers were stamped on the tag with StazOn.
More flowers were stamped over the green with VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder.
Neocolor Watercolor Crayons were colored randomly onto the tag.
Water was sprayed on the tag to activate the crayons.
A Crafter's Workshop Stencil was placed over the top of the tag and the circles were outlined with a Neocolor crayon. A brush with water was used to soften the lines of the circles.
Distress Ink was used to ink the edges of the tag. Gesso was flicked onto the tag to give a splatter effect.
Gesso was then used to stamp the flourish image onto the tag.
The flowers were made by cutting a piece of cardboard into a circle and gluing a piece of muslin to the middle. The fabric was rolled around by twisting it and gluing it in place.
After the flower was complete Distress Ink in Dusty Concord was wiped across the top of the flower. A scrap of Prima trim was added to the middle of the flower and then a prima pearl was added to the center of the trim.
A bird from the stamp set was stamped directly onto the tag with StazOn. The quote was stamped on a scrap of tag and hand cut and the edges were distressed. Prima trim was added to the bottom of the tag.
