if you have been following my blog recently, you know that i am really having fun learning how to draw faces. at one time i "poo-pooed" the idea but in truth it was because i couldn't do it...that is i THOUGHT i couldn't do it.
the truth is, if someone explains it to you in a way that makes sense...not mathematically or anatomically, in REAL language and shape talk anyone can learn to draw faces. with the push from Dina Wakley and the guidance of Stephen i have gained so much more confidence and practical understanding of drawing faces.
if you have not had the pleasure of meeting Stephen Lursen yet, let me be the first to introduce you. Stephen is our education coordinator, holds a masters of Fine Arts, the most generous artist with his time and an overall gift to our studio.
recently, he has been teaching me so much about the mechanics of drawing faces, i asked him to launch a series of videos for my online fans that did just the same.
his first video in the series is "How to Draw Eyes", (with several more videos to come in the next few weeks. i asked him to break it down into consumable chunks because this is how i learn, lol!)
these are the first eyes i drew with him and was AMAZED...so much so, that i gave him a big hug at the end of class because i couldn't believe he got me to this point so quickly!
