what does that mean?
to me it means : to understand and interpret media (acrylics, watercolor, oil, pastel, etc) and create uninhibitedly...allowing the artist within to emerge and communicate through color, texture and light.
now that sounds great, but what does that really mean to me?
(i like this whole asking and answering my own question thing, lol) i wanted to create and event that students gathered without the burden of bringing any supplies and spent the weekend learning and immersing themselves in products and process. As a teacher, i know the more ways you can engage the senses the more we as students absorb...the learning becomes part of us, part of our working knowledge and that knowledge changes the way we see the world around us.
This process of engaging the student in as much as possible is what INSPIRED Artist is all about.
you will spend 4 days immersed in products, learn how to use them, when to use them, how they work together and how to stretch yourself as an artist beyond what you though you knew into the unending wonderland of creative possibilities.
mountains of products will be laid out before you as we use dozens of GOLDEN mediums, pastes and gels, fluid acrylic paints, colored and non-colored gessos, watercolors, oil pastels, as well as, pan, soft and pencil pastels to create one fantastic art journal filled with the unfolding truth your artist within will begin to tell.
beyond the art, we will fill you will home cooked meals, curbside service to and from the airport and hotels and do our best to make sure you want for nothing while you are our guest...freeing yourself to just be in the moment and see where your art takes you!
