Rip book pages into strips. Use Matte Medium or other decoupage type adhesive to adhere the strips to the wreath frame.
Finished wreath base after all the book pages were glued on.
A masking tape roll was used for the template for my circles. I outlined the outer ring of the roll with pencil onto the canvas.
Using a fabric zig zag type scissors, I cut around the pencil line. A total of 48 canvas flowers were cut. I was able to cut 4 at a time layered together to speed up the process.
No measuring. Use the zig zag scissors again to cut a spiral into the circle.
Starting from the outside of the circle, roll the canvas loosely to the end (which would be the middle of the circle). Secure with glue gun.
I also cut 24 pieces of burlap the exact same way. These circles will form the outside of the larger flower. When done rolling the canvas flower use a glue gun to adhere the burlap where you left off. Continue rolling to the end of the burlap and secure with glue gun.
This shows the finished large flower. The small flower is just the canvas without the burlap attached.
When the large flowers were completed they were adhered with the glue gun to the wreath form in a zig zag type pattern.
After all the large flowers were in place, I went back in and glued in the remaining small flowers to fill the wreath.
To make the ribbon on the top of the wreath I ripped a long strip of 2" strip of canvas and used Matt Medium to glue book paper along the middle. When dry I tied the canvas strip into a bow and glued to the top of the wreath.
