creative play...

i love birds (not the real ones mind you, just the imagery of birds) and i love birdcages.

actually, i started collecting birdcages and if you find your way into my studio you will see some of my very favorites used as displays around the shop.

so 2 weeks ago, when i saw this maya road album in the bambola scrapbook store in spain, i had to have it! it just made me want to play.

so this weekend i began painting, glaming, and layering textures and colors until i ended here! i left plenty of room to add photos later, but lets be honest, the fun is in the making the album (at least it is for me). i love to play!

bill and i are on our way to Scrapdoodles, in Fredericksburg, VA this weekend. we are looking forward to seeing so many of my friends there. Teaching "Life's Artistry" for the first time this weekend - it is always fun to debut a new workshop that you love. if your in the area stop in and say hello!

next weekend i will be debuting my new "Garden Sprite" apron workshop at Stampin & Scrappin Time in Bridgeport, NY. i love people in the north east...just feels like home! i think there are still a couple spots and i hardly ever get up that way, so if you are able to swing it, i hope to see you there!

ever since picking my first one up in a.c.moore like 7 years ago i look forward to each new issue like a kid in a candy shop letting each page resonate with me as my brain begins to pick apart each project and re-assemble them in my own way.

lots to do!

tons of loose ends that need to be tied up...all the stuff i have been putting off.

have been making a bunch of new $5 grab bag kits over the weekend. i had intentions of putting these on the website before inspired but the 100+ i made went within minutes of the events' opening. (not that i am complaining mind you). so i should have 6 new ones by the end of the week!

working on some new art for my portfolio.
