this online series includes the complete video workshop and the tools/supplies needed to create it.
the first release in this series is my new
"Field of Vision"workshop
so many of you wanted to know more about using and creating with the R+F Pigment sticks that i wanted to bring you a workshop that not only provided you with the instruction you needed to begin creating the textural depth of using oil paints, but also the supplies needed at an incredible Workshop in a Box discount delivered right to your doorstep!
i chose to paint on a large 30x24" cradle board but you can choose to paint on a stretched canvas, wood panel or works on several pieces at the sam time to create your own small collection of works from these techniques.
here's a bit more about what you will learn in this first workshop...
in theory i loved the idea of oil paint pigments in a stick. i had seen other artists use them and had fallen in love with the layers of texture and the depth of color...
but i hadn't actually used them myself, until yesterday.
i cant believe i am about to say this, but i think i might have loved them more than acrylics!
i know, right!
Bill and i went to the Neue Pinakothek Museum while we were in Munich this weekend. I LOVE Van Gogh and the fact that the museum is home to 3 of his original works was all i needed to make a B-line right to it before the workshops began on friday.
after being right up next to his artwork, absorbing each detail and stroke of the oil paint, i had to try it myself...so i took out my R+F Paint Sticks and went to work on this 16x16" canvas
