how many times have i heard,
"i bought them, but i don't know how to use them."
so today i want to tell you a little PanPastel story, my story to be exact.
about 5 years ago, i walked into an art store and stood wide eyed in front of a gorgeous display of "round pretty colors". i didn't know what they were or how to use them, but i wanted them all!
a couple months later, after weeks of obsessing over them, i went back and bought all 80 (all they had at the time). i organized them, put them in their trays, and they sat for another month....don't get me wrong, i loved looking at them with their happy bright colors, but i didn't want to ruin them. i mean they cost a lot and i didn't want to smudge them, lol!!
a month later, i start devouring the internet for tutorials, videos, books, anything i can find that can help me better understand these pretty circles of color i just invested in.
i found nothing.
so i started to play,
after 6 months i had put PanPastel on anything and everything...
layering, applying, colorizing, blending, testing, succeeding, failing and finally with the questions i couldn't answer myself simply emailing the owner personally. this led to the most amazing phone conversation, which led me here!
i wanted to present PanPastel, a fine Artists media, to the mixed-media enthusiast.
package it in a series that made learning and developing skills EASY!
with the support of PanPastel, i developed a 5-part series
i know many of you have bought some or maybe even ALL like me and i want you to feel confident using this dynamic media. like many of you i am a student, i absorb and devour anything NEW that i didn't know before. tricks, tips and techniques is a quick fix for me and i wanted to be able to present that and so much more to you!
i know many of you have already taken all or parts of this series and i would love for you to post in todays comments and share your experience working with PanPastel...possibly encourage those that might be intimidated by a new product like i was!
