Hi Donna,
The idea of posting a question/comment on here is a little odd to me, one step away from Internet dating!? I’m usually the type that just sits back and watches or in this case reads. Reads, giggles and enjoys; all your anecdotes and stories, makes my day at the office a little brighter.
My question is about your new printer…I’ve often wondered about buying one for my home office/scrapbook studio but was concerned about the quality of prints. I’ve seen lots of ‘home’ printed photos and the quality just downright sucks! They are grainy and blurry and sometimes smudge? Perhaps it’s the photo paper; perhaps it’s the printer itself? I usually get my prints done at Costco, both film and digital, and I like the ‘professional’ look they have. I guess my question is; what is the quality of prints like on your new ‘baby’? Could you see a difference if you placed a ‘professional’ print and an ‘I printed it myself’ print beside each other?
Thanks…eh!

I've been debating between the Epson 12x12 and a Canon 12x12 (since I have a Canon camera & some papers already). What helped you to decide on this one, Donna? GOOD LUCK & 'can't wait to hear (and see!!) how those new 12x12 pages go!!

Hi Donna,
I'm so jealous, I so want a wide format printer and I can't decide between the Epson 1280 or the R1800, just think of the beautiful creations you will be able to make with it! Oh, I just received your "decroative journals" book today and I love it! If I bring it with me to Scrapfest in New Brunswick will you sign it? I can't wait to get your other books!

Donna,
I have the same printer and I just love it. It is the best thing in my scrapbook/studio room. I think I'm going to have to start one of these blogs so I can post my stuff too.

lookin good. I got the wide format canon a couple weeks ago, Lovin' the BIG prints I can get from it. Enjoy!

I hope you inspire me to use mine for more than just invoices.
Posted by: Sharon | October 18, 2005 at 08:19 PM
Yes, Donna, do share what you like/don't like about your new baby. I'm in the market for a wide format printer. Ruled out the HP. Was going to get the Canon 9900 but if you AND CZ use the Epson, well, what better testimonial is that?

Why, oh why must you mock me with your sleek, stylish and sexy 12x12 printer.....!!?!!
Posted by: jen | October 18, 2005 at 08:31 PM
OMG you're gonna love it!!! It's an amazing amazing amazing printer!! I had always thought that the only way for truly great prints was a professional developer until I laid my eyes on these! This printer is TO DIE FOR!!!
Question for you please.... how is it wireless? I sooooo need mine to be wireless but had always though that was impossible with printers (I'm not a big techie, I only know enough to be dangerous!)

OOH! I've got the 1280 and love it - you are going to LOVE being able to print on 12x12!

I am so stinkin' jealous....you see my new baby girl arrived yesterday too (crazy, small world, huh?). I was very excited about the arrival of my new HP printer that prints only on 8.5 x 11 paper, and copies and scans too!!! But then I flip to your blog and...**SIGH**..... Oh well, Donna you Still Rock in my book -- always giving us something to strive towards!
So, more questions. Do you plan on going digital on us? No way, not totally, not with your paper creativity. Do you use your printer to print your pictures? Because I have to say that I'm very excited about being able to print pictures in a pinch or even better -- print pictures to the size that I want, not just the traditional 4x6. Just wondering what your method to madness is all about. Thanks!!!!

ooh sooo jealous!
Posted by: Amanda | October 19, 2005 at 09:30 AM
Wowza, congrats. Been toying with the idea of getting one but I'm not sure what I would use it for other than easily scanning my 12x12s and printing larger photos. You'll have to clue me in to all the benefits. Have fun with your new toy.

Hehehehe...you are too funny! Love that you named her. I have one of these exact printers and you are sooOOoo going to love this baby! I had to get it as soon as it was available to buy, since I saw it at CHA in February...it is soooOooo fantastic! :) YAY YOU! :))) Have fun with your new baby...I'm sure the sleepless nights that come from her will be well worth it for all of us scrappy girls that LOVE and ADORE your style. :))

A 12 by 12 printer? Way cool. When will our printer die? Soon?
Enjoy!
