FINAL UPDATE...!
she is here! and she is working. they just brought me a new one and if my laundry closet wasn't in such disarray, i would take a picture of her. there are all kinds of lights and buttons i have no idea where to start? my other one i just turned a dial and pulled..this one may need a degree! LOL!
congrats donna!!

Posted by: suetreiber | August 01, 2006 at 03:10 PM

I think someone is being visited by Mr. Murphy this week (Murphy's Law...I know you knew that, but JUST in case, lol). It's because you're going to the other side of the world. It can't be as easy as just getting ready and going without any hassles you know...nope something like having no clean clothes has to be thrown in just for good measure. I hope they get your other one to you soon. If it makes you feel any better. I bought a new project desk from Pier 1 last week...HUGE ass box and enormous thing to put together...only to flip it over to find the corner was completely crushed on the top. We didn't see it until after we'd nearly broken our back trying to put it together. It's always that way...heavy stuff always causes you the MOST trouble, lol. At least THEY hauled it upstairs and not you!

You might not get that underwear washed yet Donna.....LOL
and Torm, what are you saying?? (actually, I would beware me too, aussie accents are so hard to understand, especially in bookstores in the USA)..ROFL

OOH I bet they were STEAMING (literally)!! It's gotta be hot there!! Are you in panic mode yet, Donna? I would be freaking out if I only had a couple of days before going out of town and had to do laundry for it!!

did you give them a cold drink or anytihng? you better get to the laundry mat to have clean undies!

HIL-AR-IOUS! But, glad you have a working one now. LOL on the needing a degree - our new one came with a huge owner's manual and a DVD of instructions and has all these buttons (no old-fashioned dials) - the thing sounds like an airplane engine spooling up when it starts the spin cycle.

We got a fancy one a few years ago...and it came with a DVD you needed to watch in order to run it. LOLOLOL
Happy laundering! :)

At first, my friends didn't believe that I watched my clothes wash. Once they saw a photo of my front-loader then they understood. Pure magic and pleasure. Kudos to Lowes for their quick response.

how incredibly FRUSTRATING! well...at least everything seemed to work itself out pretty quickly. now...let's hope that the buttons are eventually easy enough to figure out...otherwise, you might end up some pretty interesting clothing at the end of your ordeal!

I absolutely LOVE my front loader and wish I had gotten it soon (expensive, yes!) I can wash both our clothes in 3 loads and then sheets/rugs etc. It is amazing but they come out almost dry! You will LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It Rocks!

LOL Dee....donna announced (yesterday?) to New Zealand and Australia that with this new washer she'd be coming in new underwear....so with it looking iffy there for a moment.....well, you know. beware of what she wears, and all.....

sooo jealous!! I want a front-loader so bad. But alas, I already have a 2-year old washer that works just fine. Those front-loaders sure are pretty to look at, though!
