the first pre-official shipment of camera bags were mailed out yesterday!!
so excited!
(what the hell is with that hair sticking up on the back of my head?...NICE)
hopefully, i will have some pictures to share as they arrive at their destinations.
i know i am a dork...but damn if it don't just make me giddy!
and yesterday i finished up the final touches on my first all fabric scrapbook!
ok, i am addicted!
this means i will soon be on a fabric buying binge and i am sure to have as much fabric as patterned paper before long.
and i am ok with that!!!
LOVE it.
here are some pics of the finished album!
ARen't they fun, I did a fabric journal and it was way fun. Love fabric almost as much as patterned paper right now? Just wish that i could take a swatch of either and head into the clothing stores and say "yo, hook me up w/ a skirt/coat/shirt like this".
i couldn't view the pictures of yours? is it just me?
Posted by: Tiffany | November 10, 2006 at 11:59 AM
okay, now i can view.... it's me not you.. HA!
Very clever!! you did quite the job on this... holy crap, how long did it take you start to finish?
have a great weekend.
Posted by: Tiffany | November 10, 2006 at 12:02 PM
SO - we can't buy one of those totally rockin' camera bags until December??? You should bring some with you tomorrow! I'll go ahead and place my order!! :-)
Posted by: Christy | November 10, 2006 at 12:09 PM
Are there going to be any nuetral or more masculine fabrics for the camera bags? I would love to have something like that for my D200.
BTW-really enjoyed meeting you in Austin last weekend, and we will have to see about me knitting up a sock for you.

OK, now I have to learn how to sew. I have a brand new sewing machine but don't know how to use the thing. Girl, you just have ALL going on!!!! The album is beautiful, absolutely love it!!!
About the camera bags, I need one, want one, got to have one....wish I could have one tomorrow. Wish you would let us know the price. It's going to be a Christmas present to myself. Girls don't you love shopping for yourself!!!! You always love want you get!
Posted by: Tammy | November 10, 2006 at 12:16 PM
Please, please, PLEASE tell me you are going to offer this fabric book as a class on BP! I would sign up for it right now if I could.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the camera bags!! Can't wait to get one as soon as they are available.
Donna do you remember dancing the hoe-down with me in Houston at CKU? Fun times!!
Posted by: Trina | November 10, 2006 at 12:29 PM
Oh MY. Overachiever!!!! All this time I thought you were just gifted with paper and crap, and I could deal. but NOW I have to not like you anymore, because you can sew, too.
Next week on Simply Me: Donna makes her own preserves and jams and jellies for Christmas gifts — followed by a new webisode of Donna teaching Martha Stewart how to make her own potpourri from simple ingredients she found lying around her scrapbook studio....
Damn, girl! You so ROCKED the fabric!!!
Pls teach on BPS; though you may have to include little video snips (ooh, links to YouTube?) to show those of us who are not needle-and-thread-inclined EXACTLY how to do this so it ends up looking so neat & tidy.
Love the cover, love the appliques and journaling strips (clever girl!), love everything about it. Yay, you! :)
Posted by: Jill | November 10, 2006 at 12:34 PM
I'm not sure what I like more...your kick ass fabric album or the amazing branding on your shipment boxes. You definitely think of it all, girl! Wanna help me in some of my marketing efforts?
Posted by: Jenn from MA | November 10, 2006 at 12:39 PM

oh my gosh, your fabric album is awesome! i, however, didn't inherit the sewing gene from my mom or nanny, but i will have to give this a try. all of your fabric is great... especially the black that has white "lace" details. and 'nice' on the lovely hair... mine has a tendency to do the same thing! :)

love the scrapbook. I know a woman who only scraps with fabric. She never uses PP.
Posted by: sherry | November 11, 2006 at 06:06 AM
This album is wonderful. I love the colors and fabrics you choose... did you iron on the text strips and then sew around them? Love the binding on the edges too and the flowers. I am seriously going to have to make on of these before the year is out. I think I'm going to use the theme "Quilted Gratitudes"... because 'tis the season.
Awesome branding on the boxes!! These ROCK!

Donna
The Fabric Album Rocks. I knew there would be a way I can use the Closet full of fabric that is in my scrapbook room. 10 years of sewing wedding dresses is finally going to pay off. All the stockpiled fabric will get used.
By the way.... it was great getting to spend some time with you while you were in TEXAS.
