need to print out some pictures today...
because i have only 8 more pages to complete for the book and instead of scrapbooking this morning i did this!
I LOVE IT!!
i started playing with my new Ranger color washes and i ended up with this!
a fabulous morning of creative play if i do say so myself!
- 8x8 canvas concepts canvas
- the green background is the lettuce color wash, the streaks are droplets of water i spontaneously added with my straw from my glass of ice water sitting next to me.
- the stamp is from stamp it, block 7 (not sure if this company is around anymore? the stamp says stampit.com, but that is not the site?)
- patterned papers from My Mind's Eye
- a random book page
- brown paint
- brown stazon
- melted 7 Gypsies wax
- hand stitched some X's with brown DMC floss
and speaking of art i have to share with you the AMAZING piece i received on my birthday from my friend Robin Beam...she MADE THIS!! it is made from individual glass pieces soldered together, i must learn how to solder like this right NOW!!
so on today's agenda is printing photos...
i am going to work with these ones first, thought i would share some tango love with ya!
he is definitely a part of our family now!
Love the canvas you created today, what great colors! And wow, is that glass piece AMAZING! Your friend is incredibly talanted.

great experimentation! When I have a big deadline, that's when I get major urges to do something totally unrelated, like paint our kitchen or add polka dots to my luggage. I think it helps the creativity for the deadline -- at least that's what I tell myself!
love the pics of Tango!!

I just have to make a comment about Tango. He looks like a totally different dog. Those first few photos of him... when you first got him he was so scared. Now he looks so happy and playful. So happy he has a good family taking care of him!

There is nothing better than to see a dog running in the yard, ears flapping in the wind with a tennis ball in its mouth. He looks like he's having a ball!

Just nuts about your art!! The wax is a perfect touch. And I'm soo inspired by soldering. I even have an iron and have only used it once.

I have seriously been wanting to make a canvas for my bedroom for months, and I can't do it. I'm scared that I'll make a fool of myself or something. And you.... you come up with this gorgeous stuff all the time! I love it!

Have you seen the new Pottery Barn and PB Teen catalogs yet? Lots and lots of dressforms for sale in various forms of message boards, etc. Very cool. Thought you might be interested.
Love the canvas - especially since it's green - my happy color.
