i've spent the last week working on these pieces for my new "Swatches" workshop.
i have had so many requests for this class and i am really proud to be introducing it into my 2009 schedule.
here are a few sneak peeks!
also wanted to post the finished numbers canvas.
i think it is my new favorite!
in other news,
went to the dentist yesterday.
i had 2 cavities (MY FIRST 2 CAVITIES EVER!)
and had to get fillings.
i HATE the dentist,
absolutely frightened...
was sick to my stomach with anxiety all morning.
i got the 2 fillings but i cannot stop hearing the sound and feeling the vibration of the drill.
have i mentioned i hate the dentist!
floss!
definitely going to floss more!
10k training last night was brutal,
we did hills.
i am totally feeling every inch of the incline today!
but it feels great!
more good things happening this week,
electrician comes Friday to finally install lighting in my studio.
can you believe i have had no overhead lights other than scattered floor lamps...
it's about time i got to that!
have a good one!!
Your work is so amazing! WTG on the 10k training, if you though racing in the 5k was exhilarating, just wait until you cross that 10k finish line - whoo hoo!

Sorry about the filings! As I get older, I hate the dentist more and more.

I must admit that I hate the dentist too. Last time I had fillings I had a panic attack in the chair. I wear my iPod now & it helps with the sound & the vibrations.

Then you need to come back to NJ to go to the dentist! I have one who is so wonderful that if he told me he had to do 10 extractions but it wouldn't hurt so he wasn't giving me any Novacaine, I'D LET HIM! I've been going to him for about 20 years now and HE HAS NEVER HURT ME ONCE!
In fact, I've told him he is not allowed to retire until either (a) I have a complete head of false teeth that will never ever have a problem or (b) I'm dead!

Will your classes be available online? If not, can you come to Texas and do the "Paint. Watercolor. Doodle." One... PLEASE!! :)

Wow--never been to the dentist at your age---you must have teeth of iron!!! I'm 59 and have been going since I was 6yo and had to have fillings once a week---which is how I learned about Jack and Jill magazine and Highlights for Children. I would go early just to read those!! Where do find the quotes you put on your canvasses or do you create them yourself.

Donna! Gas, what you need is gas!!! Happy gas that is. At the dentist. It will make a world of difference. And if yours doesn't offer it, switch dentists. I'm so serious about this. I was once a white knuckled patient myself, and my butt would be out of the chair the whole time.
Ask about it!!!!

Happy Gas is the way to go, no doubt!
I so wish a class in Memphis was in your future ;)

Two words: Nitrous Oxide...I am the leaders of all dental chickens in the free world. I have been going to my same dentist for over 20 years. I still panic just before a cleaning let alone a filling. He has never hurt me once. Not once. But I still have fear - some childhood thing. Anyway - discovering the Nitrous was awesome. Takes the edge completely off.
Canvas is great. Good luck on the 10K training. You are my hero cuz you are doing it. My gym closed and I have yet to find another place...I so need to get off my chair and do it.

First off congrats on your running..., you have inspired me, not to run but to loose weight , well then maybe jog... Love the number canvas, I love to use paint chips on projects.....
And sorry you have not had a good DENTIST experience, I have worked in the Dental field 30 years and LOVE it. The sounds are very soothing to me.. My kids came to the office after school sometime... Home away from HOME...
