sat dilligently reading the reviews of the TWILIGHT movie before i went.
they weren't good.
however, i loved the movie!
but maybe i was just jonesing for a visual to accompany the book and perhaps just a little more bella and edward in my life if only for 2 hours.
ALSO, THE WINNERS of shimelle's journal your christmas are!
My best bud 1200 miles away and I would put this Journal class to good use!
Have a great weekend!
Ooooh, this is unbelievable! The day I finally get onto your blog & you're offering a freebie course with my all time fave scrapper, Shimelle! My friend, Jacqui, and I, over in South Africa, would just love to take this class...Never done an online class before & took YOUR class last year at the Johannesburg Convention!
I read the reviews too, but I never listen to them! I saw the movie last night and LOVED it and I am sure that I will see it at least one more time in the theatre!

OMG Donna, a bunch of my local scrap group went last night and we all LOVED the movie! One of the best jobs keeping it close to the book!
And we too will be going to see it again soon . . .

We saw the movie yesterday. We loved it too. Who knew Billy Black would be hot! (hee hee)

I saw it yesterday afternoon & loved it!!!! I think they did a really nice job with Charlie, he had much more personality in the film than in the book.

Just read the reviews myself, but didn't before the movie. That always makes me so much more critical. I have to say, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I think it was perfect! I think they were able to visualize the unconditional love that Bella and Edward have, which could not have been easy. Definitely in my new top 10 favorite movies list.

I have only read Twilight and read it in one day and am now waiting for an Amazon delivery of the next three books as I loved it so much! Unfortunately for me it isn't out at the cinema till the end of December in the UK :( but am really looking forward to seeing it after hearing your reviews.

Well, I liked the movie okay, but it wasn't ... perfect. Some parts were too cheesy in the movie, I thought. And Charlie was tooooo young/handsome/pretty boy for me. But it was okay. It might grow on me. But yes, 'seeing' the book come to life was excellent! And Bella was more Bella than I thought she would be ... so I was happy about that.
But I went to the movie ALONE which I have never done before. But that shows how much I HAD to see this movie!

My Hubby and I went last night and loved the movie was great. Loved it and want to see it again. Can't wait to buy the DVD when it's released. I never listen to reviews anyway. Congrats to the Shimelle winners. I'm taking the class and have all the supplies, can't wait.

Going to see the movie with my sister, after soooo many times of saying "I am not going to see it, the characters I am sure are not like I see them in my head from reading the book." After reading the reviews and catching some trailors...I can see that Edward is the only one close to what I see in my head...and he is HOT!!! Needless to say, I am still going for the story and in total support for Stephenie!!! (gotta have more Twilight...it's totally haunting me...LOVEEEE IT!!!!)

Oh, I saw it last night amidst a couple hundred screaming 12 year olds.
Oh. Ya.
I LOVED IT!!
It wasn't long enough (4 hours wouldn't have been long enough) but I went in not expecting to love it, not expecting it to be 'just' like the book because a movie never can be. But it was enough, they covered the major things, loved Bella narrating througout, loved that I laughed and smiled through almost the whole thing.
I am so happy that I wasn't disappointed. I would love to see it again with just adults and maybe i'll have to wait til it's on dvd to enjoy it by myself in the dark because, well, that's the best way to watch a movie.
Oh, and the music.
I got the soundtrack a couple of weeks ago (shortly before I bought my ticket) and I wasn't sure. It's not necessarily what I normally listen to and wasn't sure how it would fit in with the story but it sooo enhances the movie. I loved the parts that had Bella's lullaby in them and they showed Edward playing the piano.
Oh. Ya.
I can't wait for the next one. I hope they don't make us wait too long.

I too went Friday amongst throngs of screaming teenagers, you know you are getting old when you are the one going shhhh when the movie sharts! lol I took two friends with me and we had a blast. We bought tickets for a 9 o'clock showing at 6 and tried so hard while at a resturant eating dinner not too bounce in our seats in excitement. We are such dorks sitting there talking about all things Twilight. And me with my newly purchased Bella bracelet and Forever Edward bracelets from Etsy. I just had to have a piece of the movie and umm thought a tshirt with the cast's faces on it wouldn't look so hot on this 31 year old body! The movie was amazing, so much so that I plan to go back today (Sunday) to see it again. I adore a good romantic story but this is one for the history books. It may have been a book written for teenages but hopeless romantics of all ages can appreciate, love and adore Edward and Bella's story!

My husband took me to see it yesterday! I LOVED it! (Even the hubby enjoyed it!!!) I didn't want the movie to end! (Just like I never wanted to books to end!) I will definitely see this movie again! (And AGAIN! LOL!)

Saw it at midnight Thursday along with all of the teenagers in a 5 county radius...thought it was pretty cheesy in most parts (especially the special effects). I kept expecting to hear that sound effect from the Bionic Man when Edward ran fast or when he jumped. =) That said, I guess the actors could grow on me as the characters. They've already announced that they're beginning book two's movie. Hopefully they'll be a little truer to the storyline.

I was not impressed with the movie. I think they added scenes that we didn't need and took think away that we needed. The meadow scene wasn't right and I thought the sparkling Edward was way cheesy.
I am not disappointed though as I still have MY Bella and Edward and everyone else in my head.
I am really hoping that the movie does VERY well so they can have more of a budget for New Moon.

Hey Donna! Did Bill go to? What did he think, is he a Twilight fan too? I have been twice. The first time I did not like much, the second I liked it much more. Curious to hear if Bill liked it. Hey Julie!

So glad you enjoyed the movie, I seen some clips but have to wait till Dec too here in ireland! :-(
I'm on book 4 ATM so that should tide me over until the movie comes out.
I saw the reviews too but in fairness the books are a little cheesy too and from what I've seen on the clips they did a pretty good job!

I finally saw the movie yesterday and took my two 13 year old boys. They were not too thrilled about seeing a chick flick. However, both of them did like the movie. The first thing they did was look around the theater to see if other guys were there watching it.
I thought it was good and in-line with the book. I did like how they made him sparkle in the sunlight. I enjoyed the movie as well as the books.
