Well, the minute I saw that HUGE flower punch I thought to myself, "Self", I said (since it's snowing outside...) "I should WIN that big punch and punch out flowers of ALL different colors and patterned papers, and STICK those flowers ALL OVER MYSeLF! Then I could walk around this winter wonderland and be a walking sign of Spring!". Yep. I said that to myself. Pick me, Pul-leeeeeze!

Oh I LOVE seeing Mckenna - she has grown so much since I began reading your blog!
Punches - for me, they are an easy embellishment for my cards & layouts. LOVING that EK Success finally came out with a ribbon one, as anymore we seem to need all kinds these days!!!
Wishing you PEACE & JOY for the holidays and all the BEST in 2009!!!

Hi McKenna,
Vacation for 2 weeks?? My kids have to go to school on Monday & Tuesday--bummer for them but good for their Mom (me!).
I love those punches you showed, especially the & sign and the giant flower. I would use the punches to make cards, on scrapbook pages and I think I'd like to make a wreath with giant punched paper flowers. How cool would that be?
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hi McKenna,
What do you think, would it be possible to punch out coconut slices with that nice big flower? Cause if it could, man... my 5 year old son Stach and i would be having so much fun every morning at the breakfast table, punching flowers in every color coconut slice there is... making the best sandwiches ever...
Hope you have a great holiday!!!
Bye,
PJ

Hi McKenna!!
I love to use my punches on everything I can!! I like to layer the big one too with little ones and make beautiful flowers. Have a great Christmas!! Dawn H

Well, I love punches, I just wish it was easier to punch shapes from felt. Maybe I could use fabric stiffner on it though - hmmm. Anyway, thanks for the chance to win!
Posted by: Pam K | December 19, 2008 at 03:13 PM
I absolutely love the bracket and the "big" flower the best all though they all would get some use for me! And 2 weeks off of school...how lucky for McKenna! You go girl!

Hi McKenna---
How about I give you a PUNCH receipe that you could make all by yourself? It is the best and my little girls LOVE it!
Mix a 2liter of lemonade, with 1 container of apple juice and one container of pear juice. Ta-da-- super yummy!
So- you can drink your punch and then I could make lots of cool things with the punches for my girls! I am thinking the flower one would make really need garland in my 5 year olds room.... :) smiles and Happy Holidays!!!!

Hi McKenna
Don't punch your brother or sister before Christmas because you know SANTA IS WATCHING!!
Merry Christmas

Hi McKenna,
Do you ever wonder what shapes your life is punching out in the world? Maybe a guitar shape - like on your t-shirt. The flower, ampersand, ribbon, and bracket punches pretty much fit my life-punches to a tee. I am always optimistic (the flower), sometimes think things I don't say out loud (the bracket), am forever needing to add-on to something (the ampersand), and am involved in a number of different "ribbon causes."
I know you'll make sure those punches find their way to decorating the life of someone very special, and I hope it's me.
Happy holidays! AB
Posted by: Anne | December 19, 2008 at 03:25 PM
Hey McKenna,
You rock the guitar t-shirt. I love punches because my boys like to hang out in my scrap space and I can give them punches and scrap paper to play with and then I have all these cute punches to use on lay outs later. Two birds with one stone kinda of thing. Happy Two-Week Break!

Hey McKenna...Love your shirt!
I would LOVE that BIG Flower Punch as it would be PERFECT for my Grandaughters Scrapbook I NEED to get Started on.....
Thanks for the chance......

Two weeks over Christmas - nice! Summer here in NZ so my kiddos get about 6 weeks off. love the punches. They could be very handy! hmmmmmmm
Take care and have a great Christmas!!!

Hi McKenna, you could be on QVC! Everyone would buy what you show them. You did such a good job.
Isn't it great to have 2 week of from school? My son has too, we all have. It is such a good way to start the new year.
What would I do with the punches? I think I will show them to my son's teacher (she is a scrapbooker too (but with no time to do it because she is studying to be an even greater teacher)) and then come up with a great spring assignment with the flower punch. So all the kids in class can punch their own flowers. And we will take the others along, because when you've punched one, you want to punch them all. It will be good fun. And we will show you what they make :-)
McKenna, have a great holiday (and your brother and sister (and don't forget mom and dad)) too.
Posted by: Irene | December 19, 2008 at 03:31 PM
I love punches.
Fun to decorate layouts.
Sometimes needed to keep people in line.
And, of course, to drink!
YAY for punches!
Merry Christmas, McKenna!

Hey McKenna!
Enjoy your break - my children are on holidays too.....seven weeks over the summer. Woo hoo! I love sleeping in.
Be good for your mama - she's a very busy lady and the craft world needs her. I'm sure you will be a big help.
Posted by: Teresa | December 19, 2008 at 03:44 PM
Well McKenna you did a great job helping your mom! You know what I could really use those punches for? My daughters birthday is January 29th and she will be 9. And I need to make some birthday party invitations and those would be great for that don't you think? Hope you have a great Christmas and that Santa is good to you!

Hi McKenna
I always think it is kinda cool that I have a daughter named Makenna who is 8 as well. We spell hers a little differently, but I think I have only heard about 3-4 kids who have that name. My Makenna likes to be different....she thinks her name is pretty special. I hope you do to.
Ok back to the punches. I love LOVE love these punches and really a girl can never have too many punches right ;)
Posted by: Shawnna Samples | December 19, 2008 at 03:50 PM
Hey Mackenna, your tshirt rocks! Yay for 2 weeks off school - my kids have also had the last three days off due to snow, so happy faces all round.
I'd love to be picked for the punch giveaway - I love scrapping with my daughter Sophie who is 9 and we would put these to good use!
Enjoy your vacation and Merry Christmas!

Ahhh...2 weeks...I also have my 2nd grader and 2 preschoolers home for 2 weeks too. I love the ribbon one, I would use it for my husbands homecoming scapbook pages and support the troops cards. the exclmation ones I am always needing for something other. The flower punches I will use to do a craft with my girls (the preschoolers). Hoping to keep my sanity by keeping my kids busy with crafts and any other ideas, lol!!!
Posted by: Melanie | December 19, 2008 at 03:54 PM
Hi McKenna (& Donna) -
Happy Holidays - I love reading your blog!! I am going to make a plea for the ribbon punch. My daughter (2 & 1/2 years old) was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and I have not been having any luck finding any scrapbooking embellishments to help me create some pages for her soon to be survivor story.
Hope you are enjoying the holiday season - cherish each other.
Posted by: Amy Randell | December 19, 2008 at 03:56 PM
My son Bryant is also 8 and he will be home for 2 weeks too! Yay!! We have lots in store for this time off. We will be making cookies, making gingerbread houses, wrapping presents and lots of arts and crafts. I think Bryant is becoming quite an artiste! We also are getting a bunch of snow as we speak. We can not wait to build a snowman tomorrow! :-)
Posted by: Dawn | December 19, 2008 at 03:57 PM
McKenna,
If I were to win the punches, I would use the brackets and ampersand punches for a scrapbook for my dear friends, who I often refer to as C&A. I was a bit of a matchmaker in their lives and I've wanted to scrapbook their love story, according to me, for some time.
Enjoy your break from school.

Okay, my comment has nothing to do with punches . . .but seeing Ms. McKenna in your vlog reminded me of something!!! The other night I had a dream that she and my 8 year old daughter, Meg, got into a lot of trouble while hanging out together. I don't know what they did, but remember thinking "Shame on the girls . . . but hey, cool, now I have a reason to talk to Donna" McKenna had a good reason to have slipped into my subconscious, though -- I was thinking about her and her mad sewing skills when I bought Meg her very first sewing machine for Christmas! (Shhhh! Don't tell her!! LOL!)

Hi McKenna! I have a niece named McKenna and it's one of my FAVORITE names! I hope you enjoy your TWO WEEK vacation from school! I work at a college and my two week vacation will begin in one hour. I love the punches and was trying to think of something "punchy" to say but the inspiration fairy has stepped out momentarily. Happy and Merry, McKenna!

Well, hello McKenna!
EXCELLENT job on co-hosting Mom's vlog! You must be very excited about two weeks off from school. Maybe you can convince my boss to give me two weeks off from work!!! :-)
Well, let's see, I love using punches in all of my papercrafts. Most recently, with it being the Christmas season, my punches have been put to good use making all kinds of gift tags and embellishments for handmade gifts.
I bet you and your brother and sister can't wait for Santa to come!!! I am pretty confident he will be leaving you all kinds of good stuff!!! :-)
Posted by: Kristen DeSimone | December 19, 2008 at 04:18 PM
Hi!!I am a teacher, and we have two weeks off as well!! Actually, because we have had major snow all week, we got most of this week off too...Which means, I have lots of time on my hands, and could definitly use those punches to finish my last minute Christmas gifts that won't go out by next week, so I guess then they will be New Years gifts!! Oh well!! Have a wonderful vacation, I hope you teacher didn't give you any homework!!
Posted by: Amber | December 19, 2008 at 04:21 PM
Hi McKenna....I'm not feeling all that witty today. I am stuck at home becasue of all the snow outside my house. I am int he Seattle area. The ice and snow is very pretty but after a few days it gets a bit, well, claustrophobic. Anyway, that means I've been scrapping up a storm. I have some punches but not many big ones. I really like the look of the brackets. Those would be really fun to use!
Posted by: Bev | December 19, 2008 at 04:25 PM
I already have many EK punches that could keep these company ;)
If my kids (b/g twins age 9) get a hold of these one this is certain, they will start out punching paper and making 'cool' stuff - then they will fight, and then they will use the punch as its name implies...punching each other :(
By the way, we have had 3 snow days the last three days, and NOW we are off until Jan 5th.....????
Posted by: Shelly | December 19, 2008 at 04:27 PM
Hi McKenna!
I love punches because my four year old can sit at the table and 'make stuff' with me by punching out lots of shapes and sticking them to cardstock.
Have a wonderful Christmas.

If we (my daughter & I) were to win, I would get the best JB poster & send it to you as a way to thank you!! Take Care & Merry Christmas!!

Hi McKenna,
Today was supposed to be the last day of school before break at the K-3 School I work at, but an ice storm made it start a day early.(can you say Woohoo) Hope you have fun on your break, I plan on cleaning, and making things(crafty not cooking as when I cook the fire Dept goes on stand by)..Happy Holidays!
Posted by: Leea | December 19, 2008 at 04:40 PM
I would love to win the punches especially the flower punch. As I use it on my pages it would help remind me that flowers really do exist because mine are buried under more than THREE FEET of snow right now!
Posted by: Kelly Butler | December 19, 2008 at 04:46 PM
Hi McKenna! Thanks for showing us the great prizes! Wow...punches. I think I should win one because I have an amazing collection and I don't have ANY of those punches and they are crying out to join my collection! Please, please, please....

The schools around here have ended up with 3 weeks off - 1.5 for weather and 1.5 for the holiday - many kids are off from Dec. 12-Jan 5! Crazy!
That does leave a lot of time for punching!
Posted by: Kristin | December 19, 2008 at 04:48 PM
McKenna,
I would love the punches for my scrapbooking and cards BUT the big flower punch would be great to punch out flowers to decorate my daughter, Bailey's room.

Hi McKenna!
The Twins are so excited about their 2 week break for Christmas too! They both agree that we need the ampersand punch so I can make scrapbook layouts that include both their names...so they would look something like this....

Merry Christmas & Thanks for the opportunity!!

McKenna...
I LOVE your shirt. Your mom MUST let us know where you got it. My daughter loves anything with guitars on them. She is 10. I think you and my daughter Ally would have so much fun together.
I would love it if you picked me for the punches. EK Success makes the best ones. If you picked me I would make a card for my friend who had breast cancer and survived! I would also use the other ones on scrapbooks and cards.
My daughter got an extra day of Christmas Break. Today should have been her last day, but we got about 8" of snow today. :) She goes back to school on January 5th. Do you???
Posted by: Lisa Lang | December 19, 2008 at 05:00 PM
Hi McKenna,
Great job demoing the punches. You were a success... EK Success!
I was reading through the comments and I read the entry from Amy Randell. I hope you pick Amy. (I don't know Amy or her daughter but I was touched by her story on her blog).
Merry Christmas!

Enjoy your vacation McKenna! I get to work at a school and our 2 week vacation, also began today. Today we had fun building giant snowmen out of fresh snow, what a great start to vacation. We've had snow all week but not wet enough to build with.
May you get totally refreshed to come back and learn so many exciting things!
Posted by: Carrie P | December 19, 2008 at 05:02 PM
My husband, Will, says that he wants to strap that big flower punch on his foot and wear it like a Frankenstein shoe. Ha! That this is as big as your head! Too funny...
Posted by: Rebecca G. | December 19, 2008 at 05:03 PM
Hi There McKenna,
Right now I am "punching " out Christmas tags and wrapping my gifts. My boys are too old to be out for break, but I wish you much snow and many happy mornings.
Thank you for all your help with your mom, and I really enjoy seeing you.
Merry Christmas!
Posted by: Jody M | December 19, 2008 at 05:07 PM
I know you said not to talk about punches as in punching someone...but I just have to tell you that because you talked so much about using your punching bag when you started to work out, I've bought one for my husband this year for Christmas! (And I'm hoping I'll get to use it too!!)
Have a great Christmas!!
Posted by: Monique | December 19, 2008 at 05:07 PM
Hi McKenna!
Isn't it fun to help your mom out on her video blogs? I would actually like to win these punches for my mother. She is a punch addict and I already have a few that I am giving her for Christmas. The good thing about giving gifts to your mom is that she usually will let you use them too. So this way we would both win! Hope you enjoy your two weeks off from school. I bet you are very excited for Christmas. Enjoy your holidays! Maybe we'll see you in more videos over the next two weeks.

Hey McKenna!!
My kids have two full weeks off from school, too...I wish I had the time off with them. If I had those punches...I would have to share them with my kiddos, I have 4 kids(10, 12, 16, & 18) and they all love to scrapbook & make journals. Yes, even my 16 year old son....sshhh...we won't tell his football buddies though!! I hope you & your family have an awesome holiday!!
Posted by: Lisa | December 19, 2008 at 05:18 PM
Hehe....maybe you'd want to punch me if you knew I have four weeks off of school (yay!!!) but maybe not because I'm still doing homework(booo!).
I think that the brackets would be a cool touch for the album I'm making for my college thesis when winter break is over. It's circus themed with lots of pretty pictures (hopefully!), I could use some vivid colors and have instant text blocks. Mmmm... ideas.

G'day Mckenna,
I'm from down under Australia, were there is PUNCHING kangaroos.
HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS, we will be swimming at the beach on xmas day.

McKenna, If you pick this comment we will invite you to another week of Winter vacation at my house...where there's LOTS of snow, hot cocoa, and ice cream and sprinkles . Hey - we can use those new punches to make confetti sprinkles and have a fun party and throw bracket and ampersand confetti all over...then use that BIG flower punch to make a garland strung together with funny pictures! I promise my 13 year old daughter will not teach you any bad habits. ;-) Oh yea --- we'd have to go visit my mom- because it's her birthday (which means birthday cake too!).
Happy Holidays, Mckenna, to you and your entire family! :) and WOOF WOOF from our Westie puppy...which means Merry Christmas

hey mckenna
my kids officially start their break in, oh, 30 minutes; unofficially they've already been home for 2 days because of SNOW and they're already 'bored'. so, we would use those punches to (save everyone's sanity) do crafts and have fun!
merry christmas!
Posted by: tammy b | December 19, 2008 at 05:37 PM
I've got TWO weeks holiday as well, but unlike the US - Australia is having a very hot and stormy summer!
BTW - love the punches!
Posted by: Jess | December 19, 2008 at 05:40 PM
I am punch happy. Shopping and wrapping nearly done. Friends coming over for a dinner of italian take out with no clean up. Two more full days and one half day before school break to finish the last minute stuff.
Posted by: Caryn | December 19, 2008 at 05:47 PM
Love the big punch! Would use it on cards and scrapbook pages - all the time!
Posted by: Marty | December 19, 2008 at 05:47 PM
Pick ME McKenna :) I'd like the punches to make a special little scrapbook in a tin for my one year old baby girl (like the round one your mom made you) Her first word was PICTURES and she looks at pictures of herself all day. So the punches would make her little book extra special! Thanks!
Posted by: Denise Gammell | December 19, 2008 at 05:54 PM
is it illegal to post twice? I don't care whether or not I win, but I wouldn't mind some help from McKenna! I'm the one making a circus album, and I need to think of more characters! I have a ringmaster, fire breather, juggler, contortionist, highwire- what do you think I should add? Theres so many possibilites, but I can only draw so much in four months!Super thanks for your help- and if you don't like the circus that's cool too, I'm pretty sure all I liked as a kid were the elephants, haha.
Posted by: shannon doran | December 19, 2008 at 06:04 PM
Please pick me! I have only 2 punches, a square and a circle, and I would love another one to add to my collection!!!
I want to create a flowery garden with the flower punch.
I want to put brackets around my titles.
I would LOVE to use a giant ampersand (either right side up or upside down)!
And if I win the Cure punch, I'd like you to donate it to a scrapper who is a survivor!
Posted by: Krys72599 | December 19, 2008 at 06:04 PM
McKenna, where did you get that shirt? I must have one too! I wear adult XL, does it come in my size? I would love to see you do some paintings and projects and have your mom dispay them on her blog! I would love to see how your creativity has evolved just as your mom's has. Remember the pillows? C'mon, show me what ya got! If you sent me those punches I would create a work of art for my new grandson. This will be his very first Christmas! The ribbon punch would be a "pay it forward" to a friend who is a cancer survivor. What a cute gift it would make! Later gator!

Hi McKenna!
What a wonderful job of holding up the punches! I so would like to have the ampersand punch! I think it would be useful for so many different things!!

McKenna, Pick Me, Pick Me, I love, love, love, flowers and I really, really, really want that big punch. Plus you have to feel sorry for me I'm the only girl in a house with three boys, so you can imagine how that flower would brighten up my day!! LOL Ok this is weird to some, but I love using punches on my junk mail. Some of the colors are sooo cool. What can I say? Take care

Boy do I have a really neat craft idea that I think McKenna would love....... Punch out vinyl and put the negative on a glass candle holder and then use etch cream. It looks so good, it is easy, and I'm making a bunch for Christmas gifts. So please pick me!

Hi McKenna & Donna,
Great to have time together over the holidays... relax in your pajamas and create, or read a book, or just hang out! I love holidays and I love punches.
I have just gone back to school to do my Masters in Counseling. Love the idea of doing art therapy and journaling with kids! I have done some workshops and I know that they love working with punches & stamps.
Happy Holidays! From Susan

Hey Vanna, I mean McKenna!
Great job. Enjoy your Christmas vacation. My boys got out of school today too and they went camping. Those punches are cool and would definitely get used as I would share them with the church scrapbooking group...we're going on a scrap retreat in January and all the ladies would enjoy these. Have fun during your vacation!
Merry Christmas!

This is what I would do....
I would take that HUGE flower punch and make a groovy curtain of flowers hanging from strings in the doorway of my daughter's bedroom. She would have to walk through the forest of flowers to get in and out!!!
(She is also eight, just like you!)
