the color palette alone just makes me feel good.
mountains may be a relative term if you live on the west coast,
but beautiful nonetheless.
even the drive up makes me feel good
the contrast of open sky and bare tree limbs feel like abstract art.
every year we go to Appalachian mountain ski to go on the outdoor skating rink.
this year it was my turn to skate,
which is truly a relative word because it means that i follow behind cole and pick him up when he falls
(and he falls a lot)
he refuses to use the beginner skating bar thing...so independent.
daddy hung back on the outside taking pictures and on hot cocoa patrol.
i brought my inspiration journal with me to the cabin,
i didn't have much time to play in it, but i did manage a little quiet time.
i mainly wrote some big dreams and noted some color palettes i like.
i'll take pics of it soon as i begin to really work in it.
i worked all day yesterday (14 hours) finishing up 47 new inspiration journals for the new year.
i have 7 more to photograph and list and they should be up later today.
i am going to get my butt to the gym today,
then finish working on the downloads for the first of the new video workshops and hopefully get started on the january newsletter that i intend to send out on sunday.
"live a life inspired. dream in possibility." and welcome 2009!!
It looks like y'all are having a great time!!

So cool! It's not the winter holidays if you've not skated at least once. But that hot tub afterwards? That looks mighty appealing.... Happy New Year :)

OhMyGosh - where do you stay when you go to Appalachian Ski Mtn??? My IL's have a house up there, in fact it's about 100 yrds from the TOP of the Ski Run at Appalachian!!!
We didn't go up there this Christmas/New Year as my MIL took us all on a week cruise (sounds cool/fun doesn't it, well it wasn't as stellar as we were expecting :( and I think we'd all have preferred to have been up at Bertsnest (www.bertelsonfamily.com/bertsnest) in NC though)
But NEXT year we will be there from the day after Christmas till after the New Year - will you be there next year???
Would love to meet you and your fam!!
