it was lots of flying, but so much fun and worth every minute of it.
i had a great time at Scrap Fever this weekend and i got to hang out with many of my friends i have met teaching at European events before.
it was my first time at this venue and it was quintessentially English, an 11th century estate over looking a river. AND by god it was SUNNY every day. i totally should have schlepped my running shoes and clothes with me because it was stunning everyday.
one of my English friends is a sketch artist and detective for Scotland Yard and i always tease her about drawing my wanted poster. well she did this time!
how fun is that! she said she hadn't realized how much weight i had lost and she has to now redraw me with out my "full cheeks", lol!!
kinda makes me look a bit unibomber-ish?
at least i am a happy criminal, ha.
Woohoo 1st comment!! How's that for blog stalking??? Beautiful pics...and that drawing is funny!! What an artist though, wish I could draw like that!

about the running and pee problem. i've run several marathons and here's my answer: learn to pee behind the bushes--real runners can't be bothered with modesty! i'm actually serious. my long runs were often along paths that go through the woods--everyone was pretty casual about it. there is an unspoken rule among (most) runners--don't look.
good luck

Donna-
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I will admit, when you had us use the drawing ink in class, I was not a fan. I didn't like the lack of control I felt. I WAS SO WRONG! I am working on a painting for a friends daughter and I am using it to outline and define...it's AMAZING! Thanks for always opening my eyes to new products and ideas!

Great drawing!! Lovely photos too---did you use a photoshop action of some sort on some of them? They just pop! (especially the one with the yellow flowers). If you did, can you share what you used? Thanks!!

You know I was there at the same time. I told my English friends that I brought the sun with me from Florida and I took it back with me I left. It started raining again on Tuesday!
