little by little i have been working on some of the ideas i have collected in my journal.
most of them are in pieces throughout my studio
or in conceptual piles in baskets of "what could be".
i've been trying to focus on the follow through and take the ideas from stages of complete to completion.
i am a total list maker and crosser-offer
and i think the clutter in my head is often reflected in the clutter around me.
feels good to focus!
i have been working on some of my new ideas for kits.
also working on a couple new projects for workshops, as well as, video workshops.
i have really be trying to give myself more time to create for the love of it...i have learned that it is important for me to find my creative center this way. makes me feel complete if that makes sense. without the creative expression (in any form) i am a bit off kilter. bottom line, it just feels good to create!
i should be finishing up my june newsletter today (look for that in your mailboxes tonight) and find out more about inspiration wednesday coming to the blog.
week 4: day 24 (wednesday) - 4 mile run (but went 7 instead)
- time: 1 hour 16 min
- distance: 7.02 miles
i usually run my long runs on friday, but when i got to 4 miles last night on the tread mill, i had a little more left in me, so i just figured it was easier to run 3 more miles now than to run 7 more on friday.
i wont lie...i hurt a bit today...no pain no gain right?
I love your new canvases! The journal style encouragement to be/ grow/ speak/ clarity is wonderfully personal. How did you cut the flower pots in half without them breaking? I also have way to many ideas, clutter, lists, journal sketches and am feeling desperate to create them all in my summer "time off"! Thanks for the constant encouragement!

7 miles! Hurting a bit? It would have killed me...you know that's true. I have started riding my bike three miles a day and I know that's lame, but it's making me happy. (Stop laughing at me...I hate actual exercise!)

Your work is so inspiring! I absolutely love the new canvases! I think I'll pick up a canvas today and paint the idea that came to my head yesterday. You rock! Keep up the good work.

Awesome! You never fail to amaze me. I totally get the off kilter comment. I feel the same way. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 11 years now and in September my youngest heads off to Grade 1. I may need to find employment soon and the only thing I know is, that in some way, it must be creative, otherwise, I don't think I will feel satisfied in my work. Does that make sense?!
On another note, way to go on your running! My hubby and I just started running together and it is an amazing feeling. I have some weight to lose, but that is becoming secondary to the enjoyment (can you call pain enjoyable?) that I am getting from finishing the run. Thanks again for being an inspiration, not only in creating, but also in running.

Thanks for sharing! Everything looks beautiful. There's some really great ideas. I can completely relate to everything from the clutter to the need to create. Makes me want to get a canvas and paint out today. Thanks for that.

I seem to remember you have a dr appointment today right? let all of your friends know what the stress test showed. I hate those. I am being very creative, just finished a new miniature doll room in quarter scale. I am liking it. am working on a tiny 4th of july porch project. If you want I will send you a pic when i finish. just another form of art as far as I am concerned

Love the canvases. I actually painted two 12" canvases using the techniques you taught us at Scrapbook Island to create thank you gifts for Riley's teachers. They loved them!

100 MILES! Do you have any idea how far that is?! Of course you do, you ran it. That's like crossing state lines in some states. Your canvases are beautiful--loving the half pots, cut up words, and wire flowers. I especially like the words on the grow one. But that first pic of the fabric circles and photos--OMW. I need to see a broad shot of that one!
I can't thank you enough for all the inspiration you give me. I'm just tucking it all away until I have time to play.
