i do not know what is more exciting, the fact that i am headed to the beach for a week for a family vacation or that i ran 10 miles last night!!
ok the beach with out question, but holy crap i ran 10 miles last night...ON A FRICKIN' TREADMILL!
for the past 10 years we have spent a week of the summer at myrtle beach, sc. it began as just bill and i and as our family grew it has evolved into an extended family vacation, including our family, bill's parents and sister.
i still have not replaced my laptop, so i will have limited blog posting abilities (just my mini laptop that i cannot upload photos to), however, i plan to be twittering and facebooking from the road. since figuring out how to work it all from my phone it is kinda my new toy!
so if you are not my friend on facebook or twitter, go ahead and sign up or be my friend and follow in the fun!
and if you happen to be in the myrtle beach area this weekend stop by, i will be teaching classes at Scrapbooks by the Sea.
DON'T FORGET - 1st year Inspired. (2008) Alumni, pre-registration is open for you tonight (midnight) thru aug. 30th. Look for the email in your in-boxes tonight with the registration links!
(thuresday) - started as a 5 mile run
- time: 1 hr 47 min
- distance: 10.61miles
I would say that you are ready for your half marathon!
Good job. I am doing a sprint triathlon on Sunday and really looking forward to it.
Your inspiring me to do a 10 mile run next week also. Keep up the good work.

Good for you!!! I ran 10 miles last Sat. now I have a hurt foot/ankle...so I took the week off and I'm seeing the Dr. next week - really hoping this doesn't mess up my training for my 1/2 marathon in Oct. ~ Have fun at the beach! :D

I was just looking for some inspiration in regards to crafting, I just purchased the "Cricut", but I was pleasantly surprised that you have an IPOD, NIKE+, and are training for a marathon. I found all sorts of inspiration. Thanks, 10 miles is awesome! How often do you run? Will definitely be following you on Twitter.
Thanks,
Shachez

Ah, to be at the beach! Congratulations on your 10-mile run! I have done a half-marathon twice, and the training was killer. I know you'll be good and ready for your race! Just keep running.

Congratulations on your 10 miles! You continue to inspire the rest of us:)

Awesome, now there is no doubt that you can run the 1/2 now (not there was really any right?). I know it sounds weird but if you can do 10 you can do 13.1, CONGRATS. And yes the .1 is painful but joyful :) I hope you dont catch the marathon bug, cause you know it all starts with a 5k...1/2 and then....

Have fun on your trip! I just twittered and facebooked our entire drive from our home in Overland Park, KS to our summer home in Stonington, Maine and back! It helped pass the time and it was so much fun when I came home and all of my friends felt like they had been along with us!
