i played a bit this weekend with canvas, experimenting, totally loving the results.
also, cleaned my studio. i have so many pieces in progress around the room that i finally took the time to look at them collectively and realized i have some collections in progress.
this one is my favorite even though they are all pieces in progress the color palette is making me swoon!
i love happy colors!
going to run today. i really need to get back in the swing of the running thing i have put on 15 pounds in the past 6 months (ok maybe i should stop eating everything i want when i want it too). i am back in the game as of today! saying it out loud and public is a great motivator...you help motivate me more than you know!

i also wanted to give a shout out to yen lin, she won the "all things donna" competition in singapore. her layout was spectacular!
I need to get back on the healthy bandwagon too, Donna. :) Traveling makes it harder to be good, huh?
Love your collections! :)

Beautiful work and amazing colours!
Just wanted to send a "You go girl!" for the run that you will do today. I am looking forward to Spring here in Canada too, so that I can start the run again as well. There is nothing like ice and snow to keep me indoors packing on the extra pounds, but there is also nothing like the beginning of Spring when you can get out and run again. Way to go and thanks for all the inspiration - both in your art and your life!

Those canvas's are looking great! I was wondering about your running/weight/etc. Now that it is warm-ish here and the streets are dry time to get outside to excerise and enjoy the sunshine.

You've totally inspired me to experiment with more color- your colors always make me smile inside-out. My little art room looks like a bomb hit it, why is that?? Don't understand how working on just a few little things ends up with so much product just dancing about everywhere- and that I always end up working in a two foot by two foot space, max!!! ROFL I'm on the healthy road as well, can be a bit bumpy but it's totally worth it. Dang it is however going to be rough to pass up those "Cakeballs"!!! LOL

Donna, of course I love all of your art but the one that spoke to me today was the one of the woman with no face. I am really loving that and totally inspired!

i use liquid acrylics as well as full bodied acrylic, the secret is to water them down. my inspiration journal is just simple cardstock, but i use the same mixture of watered down acrylic to paint on canvas as well.
hope that helps

i just found your site from another site off of craft critique, and learned of your giveaway. no i haven't used your products, but not because i wouldn't love to,it's due to i live on a very tight budget for myself and my son.i was a nurse, became ill and well you know, blah, blah, blah. funny thing is i do alot of art therapy, and i was just given an old 35mm camera[it actually works too],i love taking pictures, but have nothing to carry any equipment in. also i do make many other things as well, but i use potatoes for stamps.it's a real mess but it works some of the time. i also love to do abstract painting. i would love to win your giveaway from the posting at craft critique. thanks,

You're so inspiring Donna. I love the collection. In fact my husband who is also good in that told me to try all your work as a part of his collection for our child. Thanks for the wonderful idea.
