It's my first comment on your blog! I heard you like tomato sandwiches :)... Had a terrific time last weekend. Thanks for the inspiration and the comic relief. Got my paints out this morning and my inspiration journal that sister Julie bought me has ink! The video will work out.. no sweat.

lol hey jenny so fun meeting you and your sister this weekend! hey where the heck is her comment today?

Hi Donna, I had similar video "production issues" today. I was excited to film my new art journal this morning (I even mentioned you!), was feeling great, ready to export and then to my horror saw a tampon box on my craft table. You have to understand, I *just* got back from England late Sunday, jet-lagged on Monday, finished a shift on Tuesday, and today....well today was obviously anti-technology-day. I re-did the whole thing and zoomed in a little more with my camera.
Here's my final video (indeed, inspired by your Art Journal 101): http://ginaleekim.blogspot.com/2010/06/crafting-in-england-video.html
Please take heart, I so loved your video today...you're adorably funny as well as talented. Thanks for your post today!

Hey now! Here I am! Had so much last weekend...feeling so "free"! Can't wait to work in my inspiration journal this week. Friday is my day that I am planning to spend in my studio. I have to say that the embedded book page was definitely my favorite. I can't wait to use my "trust" stamp and see what it looks like when I watercolor it in......hopefully it will look half as good as the one you did for me!

i knew that would make you come out of hidding!!!

Great pages as always, love your stuff! Thanks for trying for the video, good ol technology eh!
Posted by: ToLiveInspired | June 02, 2010 at 09:44 PM
Donna, I so feel your pain with the technology woes, except that you are way far and above my level of techno-ability. I do great with paper, paint, etc, but throw in the digitizing of it all? Uh. No. Not so much.
Anyway, I am looking forward to MEETING YOU IN PERSON in Atlanta. Woo Hoo! You have been and continue to be such an inspiration to me and to my daughters. So. Amazing. My girls now add "drippage" to their journals. I totally copied your journal page of last week (gotta get a pic of it too!). So fun!
Thanks for sharing who you are with us in bloggy land!

C'mon Bill...be a Prince and fix the freakin' tape. Missing Donna and all the happy drippage on Wednesdays. mac xo
Posted by: debbie McIntyre | June 02, 2010 at 10:09 PM
Um... when you said tape I thought I had heard wrong. I'm not making fun of you, but I seriously didn't know anyone still used that kind of video. Do yourself a favor and go go get a digital recorder like a Flip or something. They really aren't very expensive. You may think that the quality is not as good, but it is just like the video from your laptop camera.
Good luck and looking forward to more videos.

I finally did it! I am using my art journal for the first time, and to get me started, I lifted from you and went back to your older posts for inspiration. This is sooo much fun and has become my therapy! LOL :) Thanks again for being such an inspiration! Samples On my facebook page and my blog :)

Fabulous art journal, so much colour and zest

Hi Donna, even though this wasn't what you had planned, thank you for sharing. We all have days like that even though we don't think anyone else does. And to be reminded that even the poeple that we find SO inspirational, that make it look so easy, can have days like this. So glimpsing a bit of your freakin' frustration actually turned out to be pretty inspiring in the end! Love the stamps!

Hey Donna! Angela from Oklahoma, we met last year in Oregon! Sorry you had video troubles, it will be fine. Things happen, take a breath, and know it will be ok. Thanks so much for all your work and inpiration to so many of us! I love your pages and can't wait to create some of my own! Hugs!

I feel your pain, nothing more frustrating than chatting away thinking all is going well, stopping to take a look and realize that you didn't hit record. Yep, done that! Frustrating, but only myself to be mad at.
I will send a little "technology working mojo" your way and hope that the tech gremlins find a swift end to their terror.
Love how the pages turned out and know that you did a fab job showing us your process!

Love the inspiration journal pages. Question about the cut out words on the left side page-- do you print these out and then cut or stamp them and cut?? I have seen many peoples art journals have them and would love to do something like that in mine but don't know how.
Thank you.

LOL! I just watched your last 2 video blogs. They were great and inspiring by tht eway! Love your heart!
Anyway...my son...7 years old, was sitting with me as I was watching. I laughed about the fabric comment, and giggled at the freakin' camera thing...He wat and watched.
When I was finished watching them both, he says...
"Ok...that was funny, and a little silly, and weird, and lame all at the same time. Then it got scary!"
LOL...I don't know which parts he was referring to, but I just told him...you don't understand Art! LOLOL
(Just wanted to share!) Have a Fantabulous Day!

I've gained 15 back since getting to my goal weight too. I am struggling to get it back off. I hope you are able to get some motivation back at the gym. :)
