i am going to be starting a new monthly ATC (Artist Trading Card) club at the studio beginning January 11, 2011.
each month we will create 4 ATC's.
you can choose to trade them, display them (i just ordered the cutest atc mats to frame them, love!), or keep them all to yourself!
i will be adding mine to my 7Gypsies atc spinner.
i will also be making extra kits as well as instructions available online for all my not so local creative friends that want to get in on the monthly fun!
the cost of the kit will be $10 and the kits will be limited, meaning we will plan on making a certain number and when they are gone...they are gone.
***EDITED*** i will also be making just the instructions available for download without the kits. these will be $1.99. so if you've got tons of product and just need the instructions to join in. you can! note in the comments if this is something you would prefer as well.
post a comment today if you think this is something you may be interested in, giving me a rough estimate if i should plan on making 10 kits the first month or 110. also right now i only have one spinner in stock, but if you know you are going to want a spinner also put something like that in the comments too.
my goal, by years end 2011, will be to have a beautiful spinner full of tiny art!
As I'm not at-ease with ATCs making, I'd love to join the "online" version the first month :)

I would do all 10 months. I've always wanted to try this and I am interested in the spinner too! Looks awesome already!
Posted by: Huyen | December 13, 2010 at 12:44 PM
I would be interested and so would my mom, we already have our spinners :) Sweet !!!
Posted by: Cim Allen | December 13, 2010 at 12:46 PM
Yes, Yes, Yes! I have always wanted to try ATC's and now here's my chance!!! Love the spinner of art too!!!
Posted by: Erika Davison | December 13, 2010 at 12:47 PM
I think this is something I'd be interested in. I'm hoping we don't have to buy the kids to participate right? I've been doing ATCs for about 7 months now and have collected quite a bit of supplies I need to use up. I would be interested in the spinner however, I think it would look great in my little studio :)
Posted by: ikerrilove | December 13, 2010 at 12:47 PM
oops, that should read, buy the kits..although your kids are pretty cute ;)
Posted by: ikerrilove | December 13, 2010 at 12:47 PM
I would be very interested in joining...it's something I've been thinking of for a while but could not find one to join...I love your work Donna so when I saw this I just about screamed...I have a spinner all ready for the cards :)
Posted by: Izabela | December 13, 2010 at 12:48 PM
i was thinking that i may also just may the instructions available for download without the kits as well. this way you do not have to buy the kit, but could benefit from the instruction.

I love making ATC's, and love the idea of a monthly theme, however I have tons of supplies, and the $10 a month seems unnecessary, so I guess I'll have to pass!
Posted by: Becky G. | December 13, 2010 at 12:49 PM
LOL!
Posted by: donna downey | December 13, 2010 at 12:49 PM
I guess I should have added that I'm not local.. sorry, I'm a little off today ;)
Posted by: ikerrilove | December 13, 2010 at 12:50 PM
I LOVE the idea of an online set of instructions :). I got so excited reading about all your new classes, then was sad that I didn't live nearby.
Posted by: Tessa Buys | December 13, 2010 at 12:55 PM
me, me, me...I want to play:)
Posted by: ~amy~ | December 13, 2010 at 12:57 PM
I would be interested in participating and would also like a spinner!
Thanks,

Looks like I am going to HAVE to find another way to get to your place without having to come down I 77!! LOL I am definetly interested in this and so is my mom. My daughter did ATC cards in art class last year in school so I am guessing she will want to come too. So, that is 3 people here and we would purchase 2 spinners. This looks really exciting!!
Posted by: Amber | December 13, 2010 at 01:02 PM
You might consider doing it like you do Big Picture fun with fabric. I'd gladly pay for instruction (from CA) and I have a large spinner and tons of supplies but I've never done ATCs. What helps me most is the videos. Maybe I'm just a visual learner but watching you do the techniques and the assembly is where I get my gains. Love fun with fabric, love inspiration Wednesdays!
Posted by: Karen | December 13, 2010 at 01:05 PM
amber call over to the studio and tell kandi that you want to be added to the tuesday night class list. this way you will definitely have a seat and also let her know how many spinners you want and we will have them ordered and your names on them when you come in.

Donna you are spectacular! Looking forward to this, and will participate whenever I can.

I'm stoked about the club (:
I've always wanted that 7gysies spinner XD
Posted by: Nadine Su | December 13, 2010 at 01:10 PM
i am not local, but the downloadable class sounds perfect. i have a sad spinner sitting on my shelf and i need a kick in the pants to make it un-sad. i would be interested in purchasing a kit too.
Posted by: jamie | December 13, 2010 at 01:14 PM
I would love to get the kit in the mail. Living oh so far away from NC makes joining in all the fun impossible, but I love the ATC's you have shown so far. Put me down for a monthly kit. I can scrape together $10/month.
Posted by: Jeanne Ann | December 13, 2010 at 01:17 PM
I would be interested. Wondering what the shipping cost would be for the kits though (might make a difference).
Sherry
Posted by: Sherry | December 13, 2010 at 01:18 PM
i am hoping to make shipping (domestic) free...
Posted by: donna downey | December 13, 2010 at 01:21 PM
I would love to download your instructions each month and would definitely upload my creations with my supplies to an online gallery. It would be cool to see everyone's interpretations of them based on the supplies they have in their stash. You are making ideas flow through my brain now!
Posted by: Jennifer Smith Sloane | December 13, 2010 at 01:29 PM
Hello
This sound like big fun and I really want to join this club with a monthly kit to go. I just wonder about the shipping cost since I live in Norway and that is really far away. Maybe it is worth the cost because I love what you do. And I also like a challenge or two and this way I can have them both. The spinner I better try to buy here in Norway. If the shipping cost is to much I will have the downloaded instructions, because I really want to join in.
And for shipping, it take about two weeks to get my stuff in the mail, so I would have to get the kit sent to me in time to join the actually month....
Hope this is somthing we can work out and get some agreement about.
Posted by: Gunn Mandal | December 13, 2010 at 01:41 PM
I have tons of supplies and scraps. Since I'm not local, I would love to download the instructions to use up my supplies. I would love a spinner, too, if it's at a bargain price with or without shipping.
Posted by: Angela C. | December 13, 2010 at 01:41 PM
Sounds like a lot of fun...I would definitely take the instructions and possibly the kits depending on how much the shipping would be! I already have a spinner that has been sitting empty for a while...this will be fun!!
Posted by: Angie Murray | December 13, 2010 at 01:42 PM
would love the downloadable instructions as i'm not local! sounds like a lot fun! might be interested in the kits if i had some idea of what they would contain.

I would be interested. I do not have a spinner...but would be interested in how much they are
Posted by: Becky T | December 13, 2010 at 01:57 PM
I am very interested in these kits. I make ATC Cards once in awhile, but not often enough. I already have a spinner (but need the punch for the spinner).
Posted by: Caitlin | December 13, 2010 at 02:02 PM
this sounds like a fabulous idea. I would love the option of buying the instructions only so I can use up some of the supplies I have on hand.
Posted by: Debbie | December 13, 2010 at 02:13 PM
I would love to join the online club. I would love the option of purchasing the instructions only, since I have tons of supply I need to use up!
Posted by: Renee in NC | December 13, 2010 at 02:24 PM
Oh, yeah - I would love the to purchase some frames - already have the spinner, but for some of the special one would love to frame them! Thanks for this opportunity, Donna!
Posted by: Renee in NC | December 13, 2010 at 02:27 PM
I would love to participate! I'm definitely interested in the download option and possibly the monthly kits but I would really like to see what would be (or potentially be) included in the kits as I have lots of supplies and might be able to make do with what I have. I already have a spinner looking rather forlorn on my shelf and it could use some happiness!
Posted by: Kathleen Brown | December 13, 2010 at 02:51 PM
would love the kit and the spinner. i have a clip-up but it is full so yes to the kits and the spinner. I have never done atc at all, but am fascinated by them.

Hi Donna, I would definitely like to buy the kits and instructions, unfortunately I am in the UK so coming to the studio is not possible :( I do have a spinner.
Just starting to panic that your on-line class 'Fun with Fabric' is coming to an end, so I will still be able to get my Donna fix this way!!!
Posted by: chantille | December 13, 2010 at 03:00 PM
YEAH!! DONNA this sounds fun!! I would be interested in this!! I love to create ATC cards and I have been in several swaps, but creating in your group club would be fun!! =)
I also would LOVE a 7 gypsies spinner!! HAVE AFABULOUS DAY and I can't wait to play!! =)
Posted by: Larissa Heskett | December 13, 2010 at 03:10 PM
i'm interested in kit and spinner
Posted by: Ann | December 13, 2010 at 03:15 PM
I have never made ATC's and am not exactly sure what it involves, but I love your work and would like to become more actively creative. I am back and forth from CA to MN and would have to take the online class. I have a lot of product, so would just need the instructions. I am excited to see what the class is all about.
Posted by: Julie | December 13, 2010 at 03:29 PM
i'm interested in the ATC kits, have been in a birthday ATC year-long group for 2 years.
Posted by: morning Dove | December 13, 2010 at 03:34 PM
I would download the instructions to use up my stash! Will you have the punches for the ATC to mount on the spinner? I would be interested in both of these.
Posted by: Elizabeth | December 13, 2010 at 03:47 PM
Count me in...I have the spinner, so just the monthly kits would be great. I also have a empty rolodex that could use some filling up.
So excited for new things in the new year. Yay 2011.
Posted by: Elizabeth | December 13, 2010 at 04:15 PM
I'm interested in the kits or downloads. Sounds like fun, especially since Fun With Fabric is ending soon *pout*!
Posted by: dustypenny (aka Joy) | December 13, 2010 at 04:20 PM
I would love to have the kits. I have had a spinner for over a year that is still empty. Even though I have tons of stuff I like the ease of kits and having everything already put together for me. So put me on the list.
Posted by: merryredhed | December 13, 2010 at 04:21 PM
I would be interested in all three items. Sounds like lots of fun! Wish I lived closer!
Posted by: Kathy Shabowski | December 13, 2010 at 04:30 PM
I would definitely want to join and get a kit.
Posted by: sherryann (aka Sherry Eckblad | December 13, 2010 at 04:43 PM

I would be interested in joining at least for the first month.
Posted by: Holly Costello | December 13, 2010 at 05:56 PM
I love ATCs and want to join Long Distance please. Also love your spinner idea. I don't have one of those yet. Could occasionally just get instructions, but your kits would B awesome too. Great idea! Donna all year! smile.
Posted by: Craftastrophe | December 13, 2010 at 06:28 PM
Perfect timing! Just getting into ATC's! I'd be interested in the kit form, as well as the spinner!
Posted by: Alice | December 13, 2010 at 06:30 PM
Hey Donna - how cute are those! I definitely would want the monthly download of instructions and probably will take a kit because why bother using what I have squirreled away when i can get a nice little kit with everything I need already in it (LOL!).
Free shipping is even better idea!
Posted by: Rita Timmons | December 13, 2010 at 06:41 PM
Hi Donna....please count me in too and also the spinner. I dont want to miss out but just got online and read this. Sounds like a lot of people want to join....Yeah good for you

I have a spinner in need of some creative juices. I would be game for the instruction downloads since I have lots of "stuff."
Posted by: Shelley | December 13, 2010 at 07:32 PM
I would LOVE to join in. A monthly ATC project would be so much fun. I have always wanted to make them and never got around to it.
I'd like a kit if you are able to make domestic shipping free. Otherwise I'd like to get the instructions. I'd also be interested in a spinner and a punch.
Posted by: forrest | December 13, 2010 at 07:34 PM
I would love to participate (from WI). I make ATCs and have tons of stuff, but I would pay to download the instructions and be happy to upload my pics. Don't have a spinner (yet)!
Posted by: Linda | December 13, 2010 at 07:34 PM
Hi Donna--
Count me in....at least for January. Don't know what the babysitter schedule will look like after Jan, but I would like the kit.

On the other side of the world in Australia, I would be happy to buy the instructions and follow along. I already have a spinner that too is unused. This year, Donna you have provided me with a great amount of inspriration in the 'Campaingn for Creativity'. I have followed along and completed an album using all of the mediums and is probably something I would not have done without the monthly email reminder and the examples.
Keep up the good work!
Posted by: Ngaire | December 13, 2010 at 07:44 PM
Donna- I would like to participate via kits. If you have a Friday/Saturday class combo planned, I can come in for that. That is unless the ATC class will be on Wednesdays. So hook me up with some kits. It would be fun to trade at Inspired too!! Hope ya'll have a Merry Christmas!!!

Downloadable instructions, please. My 2011 resolution is going to be to go FIRST to my stash and quit buying new!!! Thanks so much. Love the ATC size and my spinner is empty!
Posted by: Jill | December 13, 2010 at 08:01 PM
I would be interested in downloading the intructions. I recently discovered you and now I can hardly wait for Wed. evenings to get my "Donna" fix! lol
Posted by: Diane | December 13, 2010 at 08:16 PM
I'd love to sign up for the monthly kits. Are you going to have a sign up list? I'm definitely in. And, of course, I need a spinner, also.
Posted by: Kim Littlejohn | December 13, 2010 at 08:17 PM
spinner and a kit every month -- they are darling!!
Posted by: susan | December 13, 2010 at 08:26 PM
I would love to get the kits each month! I'm a definite 'yes'! :)
Posted by: Jessica Pettit | December 13, 2010 at 08:32 PM
Hi, what a great idea. I am in Australia so instructions would be great. I have a spinner so thats all good however I don't have the cards that fit the spinner. Would we be able to get them through you.
would there be room to add quotes, I love collecting quotes and I think this would be a good place to keep them.
Posted by: Tracey Holdyk | December 13, 2010 at 08:37 PM
I can't wait to join in...so count me in for a kit...
Posted by: jenn h | December 13, 2010 at 08:56 PM
I would love to do the 10 months! Are you teaching the classes at your new studio? Will it be a set date each month - example what day of the week! I think I am only a 2 hour drive and would love to learn more! Even if I am to far for in studio - I will be in for all 10 months kits and the spinner!
Posted by: Elise Wisner | December 13, 2010 at 09:06 PM
Oh, this is something I would love. Have you considered having a monthly club when you pay for a few months in advance (including shipping) and you would just ship the kits each month? This way you would be guaranteed numbers, which might make preparing the kits easier since many individuals would be eager at first, but the excitement might wear off. You could also do a mix of club and some kits available for sale each month. Just a thought from someone who hates to miss out on "limited time offers".
