today bill, the girls and i ran in our first family 5k!
mckenna and payton are in girls on the run at school and they finish the season with a 5k.
cole was our cheerleader (and quite publicly relieved he did not have to run).
they did awesome, ran the whole time, and finished under 45 min.
so proud!!
we carpooled and met uptown charlotte at 7:30am...by NC standards, IT WAS COLD!!
a balmy 30 degrees.
daddy was proud too!
who could have imagined that this running journey could have taken us here...true bliss!
have a great weekend!
Great pics! All smiles and happy! Merry Christmas to you all!

Way to inspire your kids! I just recently started going to the gym again and my liitle one wants to go everyday. He helps me to go even when I am not feeling it. He is helping me to stay the course and hopefully when he is oler it will have made a lasting impression on him.

I have been following your blog for a while and really love it! The videos in particular are totally awesome. You are so talented and inspirational. I too like to run but struggle with confidence from time to time. I saw this post and went on to read all about your running journey. I was totally inspired and ran my first 10K on Saturday! Thank you for being my inspiration Donna - I am so very proud of myself!

Donna-My daughter did GOTR last spring and I was a coach. One of the greatest experiences I ever had! I now jog upto 1 mile a day of my 2 mile exercise. I never thought I would be a jogger. It has changed my life and what an awesome teaching experience for the girls in these programs. Thanks for showing it on here. Sarah
