pinterest is my new happy place for everything from cute food ideas to color combos to art.
when i found this piece in a series of digital collages i knew i needed to try something like this in my collage journal with paper
...this is my new favorite! love the inclusion of the stamps.

What an awesome collage ... isn't it inspiring when all of the elements come together to create something greater than the sum of the parts ... I've been traveling, so no studio time this weekend ... it's always a challenge to create that first thing after being away.

I love this! I'm going to start a new journal to do some collage work in soon! I've been working on some new stuff myself. Trying so hard to teach myself to paint faces, or girls....if ya want to take a peek you can see my progression in the last few blog posts. I am usually a lurker on your website but just had to jump in and say how much I love today's collage! I think this is my favorite one so far. I have been wanting to try my own collage journal but haven't found much free time with the kids home during the summer. Once school starts, this will be high on my creative list of projects! Summer is slow art-wise when all the kids are home! We have 2 art shows back to back in September that we've GOT to start getting ready for! But we did just finish up some designs for the new stuff we'll be introducing summer 2012 with our Demdaco line, so that feels good!

I've really been ejoying your new collage journal. I like to work 'dry'. The blend of colored and patterned papers you use is pleasing to the eye. I've tried it and do not find it that easy to achieve so I appreciate your efforts. Color composition is definitely one of your strong points. Thanks for your blog! Your work inspires me.

Hi! I love the bird stamp mixed in with the paper. I have been making backgrounds and having fun with the golden acrylic paints. I learned so much in your workshops and now I am using some of the techniques you showed us. I have to say that drippage is so much fun, that I want to use it on everything. You rock!
