got back last night around 11pm from SPARK.
what an amazing event filled with open minded creatives...was a great experience and well margie is to say the least and glittery, glam first class hostess!
i actually made this weeks collage monday on the plane from charlotte to Phoenix...i had bought a Veranda magazine to read and there was an article featuring these dress forms layered in fabrics...well it spoke to me and i started cutting. then i went through and cut out as many lines of text and titles i could find and of course the lone red anemone. glued it all down and went around the edges with acrylic paint!
( FYI...i am planning on doing a post this week on my travel art supplies, most likely thursday)
The dress forms are great...love them!! I may need to get this magazine just for this purpose. My mind is running with ideas! Love the use of the flower too and the message in the words! As always, you're such a great inspiration! Thanks!

Love the inspiration I find here! AND your a poppy fanatic like me - so wonderful!
BTW how do you manage to get scissors on the plane? If I tried that here in Canada I would be thrown in jail for having them in my purse!

you can bring up to a 4" sharp on the plane...i have brought them into canada on non canadian airlines

LOVE this!!!! Awesome as always. Are you using a Golden gel medium or ModPodge? What is the difference between the two?

when you are working in your journals on the plane does that ever invite conversation from your seat mates?

Great question, Mary! It amazes me that you can create on a plane!!! Yes, please share what you bring & how you make it work in a sardine-can space! <3

not always conversation, but almost always stares.

I too have been in awe of your talent, always find inspiration from you and seriously want to know what you travel with to create. Looking forward to that post. What a terrific way to spend time on a plane. Hey, maybe we could come up with an exclusive craft flight (sort of like a cruise)!

What a pretty collage!! How ever do you do this on an airplane with such cramped quarters and all? Look forward to your 'travelling art supplies' post later this week. Thank you for sharing these delicious pages!

Getting ready for a little get away and surely interested in your travel supplies but have all the luggage full to the proper weight so not much room for goodies. Waiting anxiously for your post.

Hmmm! just finished reading the whole article for today. Big question how do you get scissors on the plane? They seem to want to take them as dangerous items to have on the plane. Well knowing the type of person I am maybe they should worry I might cut up all the magos and not clean up after myself.

Donna honey I LOVE THIS!! The dressforms are super pretty and I just really love what you've done with them. I can't wait for the post re art supplies either. We are taking a direct flight (almost) from Auckland to Rome next April and I will definitely be creating on the plane! Smiles and hugs from New Zealand xxx
