i have been DVRing & watching the Oprah's life class and i totally get it...i walk away inspired!
last night i watched the one about inner voice and stopping to listen to the whispers.
my inner voice has been telling me to stop "planning" art for classes or workshops or product and just create art...art that makes you happy, art that you would hang in your house. so today i am just letting the voice lead me...i like where it is going!
Donna, your work is truly beautiful! I love your post, too! Thanks so much for sharing!
Oh, I am glad that you had so much fun at SPARK!!

You have talent and spunk! No doubt about that. But inquiring minds want to know, 'Why poppies'? And will you move on from poppies anytime soon?

These are beautiful! I've also been watching Oprah's Life Class, and I've been thinking long and hard about all aspects of my life.

You mean we're supposed to plan our artwork ahead of time and not do something we love? The only way I can paint is if I love what I see! Otherwise the motivation is not there :) My husband is always commenting on whether something is "sellable" or not - his motivation in my artwork, but for some reason I've missed that part... Good for you listening to those whispers! I LOVE POPPIES (an obsession of mine too!) xo

Gotta love Oprah! I always feel a little better when I hear what she has to say. I have a separate journal I work on while I watch the shows. It's her best work, and she seems happy doing it. Love your happy work today, too.

Hi Donna , I really love those canvasses. I also love your poppies - hey if poppies make you happy why stop painting them. Are these poppies that you've drawn and painted yourself or are they a stamp? KazT

GLORIOUS is the only word I can use to describe these pretties. Poppies are just totally and utterly fragile, yet strong. I love them too (as did my Dad). You are honestly, truly the one person who inspires me the most to free my inner creativity. Thank you so much for being you! Smiles..

this is cool Donna. I'm getting so facinated with mixed media and all the canvas art I am seeing. I'm going to have to scout out some of your videos.
