the idea started with, "lets try new paint colors!" i am painfully aware that i keep going to the same colors when i paint so i am going to slowly introduce and broaden my palette. (however i am going to have a tough time letting go of cobalt teal!)

Awesome texture, Donna!. I've been playing with tissue papers on my journal lately and now I'm going to try heavier texture with regular papers, like in your video. TOTALLY inspiring!

Long time watcher, first time commenter. I absolutely love your videos darling. You are totally crazy (I mean that in the best way possible) and it is so inspiring.
But I have a challenge for you! An Inspiration Wednesday spread without circles, tape, or drippage. Do you think it could ever happen?
Posted by: Bear | May 23, 2012 at 03:59 PM
First time commenter as well. I'm so glad that you are not afraid to show us your mistakes and what you do when you encounter something that doesn't turn not how you wanted. I get so hung up on those, "what if I make a mistake?" type of thoughts. Great therapy for me to see that the world doesn't end just because something isn't exactly perfect. Did you know you were a therapist? Thank you so much!
Now I have a question for you... Have you ever compared(or would you even consider comparing) Liquitex soft bodied acrylic in cobalt teal with your Golden Fluid acrylic Cobalt teal?

Truly AWESOME Donna!! My almost 6 year old son watched it with me and said "Mom, can we do like she does??". And then asked if he could come with me to your store. He loved it, as did I, but I knew I would. :). Miss you girl!! Oh and I have a bold blue streak in my hair now!! Go blue girls!!! Love ya!!

Any 12 step program will tell you, you need to go cold-turkey. Put that cobalt teal away, far far away and don't touch it. The withdrawl will be tough, but once you get a little "sobriety" under your belt, you'll have better perspective and be thankful for having the guts to change. Your viewers deserve a chance to see what else you are capable of. You can mentor us and be a role model as we have our addictions too.

I love your colors, and I guess I am an ole stick in the mud, because I find it hard to try new colors as well. Thanks to you though I am going to go out to my craft room from http://roomstogrowusa.web12.hubspot.com/hobbyrooom/ and try to use just a couple of new colors. Baby steps here.

Love the blue this time! I sat down and worked with some blue myself last night! Always an inspiration for me! I know just how that feels when you look at your journal and all the pages seem to look like the same thing with slightly varying colors. I think this must happen to all of us. Glad I'm not alone. I am just dying to come to a workshop one day!

What fun would it be without circles, tape or drippage...I'm finally getting the hang of how to make that all work!! You totally inspire me to create and it is the process that makes creating so 'doable' (as opposed to overwhelming and time consuming....and I always love that end products look nothing alike, but both are amazing)!

Hi Donna! Been watching for a while now, never commented before. I really appreciate that you share your gift with the world honestly and openly so we can learn and grow and become the best that we can be! And, I gotta say, I'm lovin' the Cobalt Teal though! Maybe that should be your signature color because it's really awesome in art!! I love the layout in this one too (I think the dark stuff scares me!! Spooky!)

Love watching these videos. Also glad you held up the book when you sprayed and I could see how it was put together before it gets so full. I have been making my journal pages loose until I figure out how I want to put them together. The new to you colors looked great together. Thanks for sharing.
