maybe i am feeling the creative mojo slip slowly back!! i had no intention for todays journal pages except i had a pile i unpacked from my shopping in australia and wanted to use it. i am really pleasantly surprisedby the results. one thing i know about myself is that i am 100% product motivated, starting with a pile of product always ends well for me.
(secretly i want to do my own creative TV show like chopped where you are given 4 products that you have to use but you can make anything you want from it...wouldnt that be fun!! if you are a craft network did you hear that? i think it would be a great show!!! lol! )
anyway, i digress...lets watch the video!

Posted by: Helen Lindfield | May 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
I've always wanted a show like that! Let's spread the word so that a network picks it up!! LOL!
Posted by: Linda | May 16, 2012 at 03:29 PM
I have seen a "show" like that Donna but it's not on tv. It's presented by Michaels but its cute. Love todays inspiration. I too, have lost my mojo somewhat, but maybe it's because I haven't unpacked my stuff since November of last year. I have been to a few crops since then, which is the main reason I didn't unpack, but I kept piling things up that I bought at the crops (new product) and suddenly, I had no where to move in my craft room. So this week I have been putting everything away, at least out of sight. So I have to repace for my next crop in June. I hope that helps a bit. Its kind of fun actually, because I am seeing all the stuff I have bought over the last several months, that I forgot I bought!!!!!
Posted by: Tammy Whitley | May 16, 2012 at 04:07 PM
Donna, you continue to inspire me. Whenever I lose my mojo, I just go back and watch some of your videos. Every week, I think to myself...I should grab some of the products you used this week, and go make an art journal page. I could even record it, and put up an "Inpsiration Donna" video! :) The highest form of flattery is imitation, right? ;)

in love. i could totally see this on my wall really big. your style is always evolving and i love every bit of it. this is secretly my fav though.

OK Donna...How many shades of grey do you use in this segment! I am on book two and should be done by the time I see you at She Scrapbooks! All I can say is thanks for the recommendation! Bill and kids coming with you again?

This one is stunningly beautiful. The windows with the cogs are amazing. They remind me of Keats' "charmed magic casements", which sort of fits with your castle feeling. Wonder how much shipping is from Australia?
Posted by: Gillian | May 16, 2012 at 05:57 PM
Me too!
I totally had thought it'd be fun to do a "chopped" version with crafts....and I don't mean the cheesy thing Michaels has....I mean the real deal!! And judge...you could so be one of the judges :o)
Love ya!
Can't wait to see you in June!!

Donna, I love this as always. I bought both of your exploring mixed media sets with Pan Pastels last week. I'm now addicted to them. A little funny...did you notice the end of your video says "produced by Donna DowBey". Probably a typo that's reflective of how you've been feeling this week. Glad you're feeling like you got your mojo back.

I have to say I really like the way that this one turned out. Those arches are beautiful. I have seen a lot of the Australian chipboard stuff online. I don't understand why it isn't more available here. Feeling all inspired after watching you.
Posted by: Laurie Hunt | May 17, 2012 at 12:39 AM
Wow, wow, wow, what a stunning project, I love those arches, so cool. The colours you have used are just perfect for the background - gorgeous. Like Laurie above, we have trouble getting Aussie products in the UK, some Kaisercraft but that is all. Thank you for a great video, again!

The best thing about Wednesdays are your videos :D I have learned so much from you. Thanks for your constant inspiration. I do have one question, have you noticed that at the end of this video it says directed by donna dowbey? It's probably crazy that I noticed, but I just had to ask. lol
