Q. can i sign up now or is it too late?
- you can sign up at any time, even though 48 weeks will be released quarterly, because it is self paced, fully downloadable to your computer and never expire, you can work on each weeks lesson on your own timeline. you are never behind, just right where you should be!
Q. do i need to buy a lot of new products to successfully complete each weeks lesson?
- no actually i would rather you work with the supplies you already have! although i give you a full list of all the supplies i use to complete each weeks piece, it is ONLY for your reference. i offer alternative options in the videos as well as encourage you to make it your own. each week the students amaze me by just how broad a spectrum of substitutions and ingenious ideas make the most fabulous designs.
Q. do i have to use the A3 Moleskine you use in your videos to complete the workshop?
- absolutely not. i have students working in in anything from an 8.5 x 11 spiral journal to large canvases. 48 weeks is about the process, finding yourself in the journey and looking at your art in a new way.
Q. what format do the videos come in?
- all of them, lol! we have made sure that we can facilitate each students individual needs. you will immediate receive a video link to download each weeks workshop as well as streaming link to watch on your mobile devices and web browsers. we have also set up a private classroom for immediate easy access and reference.
Q. if i decide to sign up quarterly and i like it, can i switch to the pay-in-full plan and get the discounts?
- absolutely! give it a test drive and i am positive if it is in your budget you will want to take advantage of the discounts as you work along with me all year! but know that the quarterly recurring payment option expires after april 1st, then you can either pay as you go or in full.
Q. are you crazy, i would never pay this much for an online workshop?
- crazy? well the jury is still out on that one, lol! i totally get it, you would like to take this class but it is priced too high for your wallet, but when you break it down it is only $13 a week. this 48 week journey the students and i will share together every week, the experience will not only be life changing but a journey that will mark the evolution on so many of our creative styles. i personally open up, share and extend my working knowledge of techniques and processes. it is like being in the studio with me every week. we have established a group where we can share, ask questions, post happy accidents and sometimes whoopsies...an open dialog of a classroom setting from the privacy of your own computer screen.
if you have any questions that i didn't list here, please feel free to post in the comments today!
and if any of my current 48 weeks students would like to chime in with comments, i encourage you to share your personal experience with the workshop thus far.
thanks guys!
I get the fact that some are shocked by the cost when looking at the payments but I did the same thing you did Donna. I broke it down and asked myself "are you worth $14 ( I am bad at math) dollars a week?" We spend that on fast food and overpriced coffee drinks easily and art is so much better for your life.I am so much Happier since I am taking the class. I wake up excited. I dream about art and I never, ever dream. I feel like a kid again. I giggle more, I play more and I am a more patient person (unless I go to Walmart where people talk on cellphones in the aisles and block up an aisle staring off into space grr....). I really urge anyone who can to jump in. The facebook page is an incredibly supportive community where you can get compliments, critique if you want it and all kinds of ideas from others who have discovered a fix, shortcut or substitution. Join us, this is gonna be an epic year!

The workshop is worth every penny! It's my first online class ever and I really like how developing for me it is! I try to use what I have in my stash and Donna is always helpful with alternatives. And I love working in the huge Moleskine! But I'm also inspired to try the new techniques I've learnt on a canvas! Hope we'll meet in the workshops facebookpage!

Worth every penny. I am doing it with my 11 year old daughter Madison and it has been amazing so far to share this with her. 14.00 a week with her sitting across from me and sharing this is so worth it. Try it, its AMAZING.

Although I hope to attend an Inspired weekend event someday, I decided to do this workshop instead because it comes out cheaper since I don't have travel costs and - hello! - it lasts all stinkin' year! I was a little freaked out when I saw the photos for the first 12 weeks - no way did I ever think I could create anything remotely resembling these beautiful pieces. I have a lot of learning and growth left but I can honestly say that I've learned more and grown more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the 2 years I've been dabbling in art journaling and the 12 years I've been scrapping. And I've only completed 4 videos! I have 42 projects left!!! The online community is fantasic and inspirational. Hey - I barely passed art classes in school and if I can create something interesting and maybe even beautiful, anyone can do it!

Loved the sneak peek of Week 15!! Can't wait!!
This is the 1st on-line workshop of this magnitude I've taken, but I knew with Donna at the helm that it would be well run and top notch. I am NOT disappointed one bit and I am having an absolute ball and learning so much, not only from Donna, but from the other participants. The private facebook group is a really supportive environment and we do share tips and tricks and ideas every day. To me, $13 a week is a bargain for this type class and worth it for just the entertainment/learning value alone.

This class is for everyone. Period. If you don't think you have the money, then find it, because you'll be glad you did. Skip your Starbucks coffee if you need to. This class will make you feel much happier... and yes, I do know how happy Starbucks makes you. The group is encouraging and supportive and has beginners as well as seasoned artists. We all learn from each other along the way. I am still enjoying Week 1, because I'm not in a rush. I'm using supplies I have and discovering/purchasing a few new ones along the way. I love following the ladies who are further along and feel absolutely no pressure to keep up. "I'm right where I should be"…lol. The videos are there to watch when I feel like having company in my little studio while I'm painting. I just love working in the A3, super large Moleskine and highly recommend it to everyone. Can't explain it, but somehow it just feels more special (and I think it comes with some magical built- in confidence). Thanks Donna for bringing 48 fun-filled weeks to us. xo

I'll echo what others in the class have said, break it down to the cost per class and it is a bargain. I think Donna and Bill have made it quite accessible by making it possible to pay several ways.
I am loving every minute of the time I spend on this class. It is helping me to try things I might not want to do under my own steam, the whole idea is to stretch yourself. It is making me feel more like an artist. Donna is a wonderful teacher and the video format makes it very approachable.
Plus we have the Facebook private group so we can show one another our pieces, when we are finished or even part way through. I had never had the courage to post before but in our "room" I feel safe. We ask one another for advice, we cheer one another on, and we love to see how everyone else has interpreted and executed each piece.
Thanks to Donna and to my "classmates" for this exciting adventure.

I had sticker shock when I first saw the class announcement and I waited and thought for a week before I broke down the price. I have wanted to go to an inspired weekend but I also have to include travel and hotel into that price. So I figured I could get weekly art classes for a year with this. I AM SO GLAD I DID IT. Donna gives so much content and tips and the private FB group is encouraging and full of tips too. You don't have to have the exact supplies, it's fun to "think outside the box" and use what you have. I love seeing the private FB group projects too...I could go on and on...Bottom line, if you're thinking about, stop thinking and jump in! It's worth every penny and YOU are worth 13.00 a week :-D

A big thank you goes out to you Donna and your off-sidder Bill. This is a great learning curve for me, I have learnt so much in the last 3 videos and can not wait to do more. The price do not worry me I just needed this to give me inspiration so I can grow. When I saw week 15 my heart skipped a beat, but everything will be ok I can do it. Thanks again

I don't think the price is ridiculous I think it's very fair I just don't have the money right now. So I've decided with every bonus at work I get I'm going to squirrel it away until I have enough to buy a semester. So my question is - if it's semester 2 before I can buy can I still buy just semester one and then go forward as I save up to buy each semester?

I am really interested in taking this class but it won't be in my budget until the 2nd quarter starts. Do I have to take it in order or can I start with the rest of the class on the 2nd quarter and do the first 12 on my own at a later date???
