on mondays "our gang", buffy, susan and i, get together for yoga and painting. (we were missing buffy today her gorgeous daughter got married in NY this sunday..we missed you buff!!, but decided to still meet up)
i think true adult friends are really hard to make and it wasn't until this last year that we found each other. the whole idea of doing yoga was susan's idea, as a seasoned yogi, she shared that the thought process and the space created from yoga was essentially what i was asking them to channel onto the canvas. it has become so therapeutic for us. bonds us really in a way that is so liberating!
so i thought i would share the TWO canvases i worked on this morning after yoga (yes TWO, bit of a multi-tasker today). i wont work on them again until we yoga next week and i cherish that the pieces of art created after our time together stay true to the energy that flows from our sessions.
Very nice Donna, gotta LOVE balance :)

They are lovely and I think it is super interesting that both canvases have 3 main focuses... since you're friends of 3. :) Awesome actually!

Great idea - love the idea of coming together for yoga and following up with painting!
I am always amazed at what my little brain can create when given the space to breathe and think through yoga and meditation!

Donna, not sure if you read this and there are over 100 replies but you hit on something when you said your kids are getting older and you need to be there for them. YOU ARE SO RIGHT. I started working from home when the kids we ending elementary and going into middle school. They need us more than ever right now. My girls are in college now and I think it made the biggest difference for them to come home and I was there all those years.. never regret that.

Really love your artwork. Just came across this and been looking at your various blogs. My mum is an artist in the UK and works in pastels and acrylics. So I do appreciate good art!
