Christmas day with Sharpies in hand, our family went over to the new house construction and wrote messages on the framed walls. each child wrote his or her own inspirations in their rooms and as a family we wrote messages in the rest of the house.
this home is such a dream come true for us and making an indelible mark on the foundation just seems to perfect way to make it our home!
Donna,
I love that you did this. It will continue to inspire your children as you inspire us through your Art!
Much love for a Happy Healthy New Year!
Blessings, Su

As children grow, houses seem smaller. I wish all of you enjoyment in your new shining home. Mostly, I pray that your love as a family grows to crowd these walls with the beauty that only families can make as they share their lives and rejoice in belonging to one another. I am so very happy for you. It isn't often that someone can touch the lives of complete strangers, but all of you have brought great joy to many people around the world. My life has been touched by you, Donna. Your blathering sounds like the voices in my head. I don't know if that is a good thing or not! Your creative and artful teachings are fun and have helped me grow as an artist. Bill and the children have brought smiles my way with the time they have shared themselves on your blog as well!
May the new year bring blessings, happiness, and good health to all of you in 2015!

Wowza -looks like the house is going to be awesome! So sentimental putting your "secret" message on the studs - someone 50 years from now will uncover them and wonder about the family that grew up there... Very sweet!

The last picture looks like you dip dyed your studs in cobalt teal. I'm going to assume that's what's happening.
Congrats and good luck on the new place!

p.s. oops (blushing madly) I think all of the curves in the first photo may be because of the wide-angle lens? Giggle.. ahem.... xxx

I love the look of your new house guys! it is going to be super awesome and I bet it will feel like home quicker with the messages you have left on it's bones. I love that idea - you will always know those messages are behind the walls, encouraging, inspiring and supporting you all. Congrats!
