watch this pretty cool take on coloring OUTSIDE the lines with Brian
Coloring is not just for kids – millions of adults are turning to coloring books to relieve stress and have an analog experience in a digital world. In fact, two coloring books for adults are currently leading Amazon’s bestseller list (as of 4/4/15). But coloring books are mostly about the lines. Don’t we all have a story about a parent or teacher demanding that we color within the lines? I say, what fun is that? Today we are going to turn traditional coloring upside down. In this project we will make the coloring book lines fit our color and not the other way around!

That was such a fun technique. And, you're right, the Nuns would always, always make us color within the lines - no stars if you didn't!
