Cup of Inspiration
Wake up your creativity using some of your “old friend” art supplies in new ways! This easy, fun project will let you explore making your own mask and creating background, midground and foreground texture with inspirational stamps. The result: a bold reminder of what stirs your creativity that can help get your day started right!
Materials Used:
- 8 x 8 panel
- Kraft paper coffee bag (or other ephemera)
- Gesso (white)
- Acrylic matte medium
- Heavy body acrylic paint:
- Titanium white
- Azurite hue
- Archival waterproof ink pads in various colors (I used StazOn Blazing Red, and Manganese Blue and Saffron Yellow from Ranger. But you can choose any color palette that you like, as long as the inks are waterproof so they don’t reactivate when you add wet media later.)
- Stamps:
- Donna Downey “Itty Bitty” stamps:
- Should Be Right Here
- LIVE your ART
- Donna Downey “Itty Bitty” stamps:
- Donna Downey Signature stamp sets:
- Art and Possibility
- As I SeeIt
- Independent Women Series: Colliope
- Stenciled & Deconstructed
- You are Important
- Cardstock
- Exacto blade and cutting mat
- Spray ink (I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Hydrangea Blue, but choose a color that coordinates with your inkpad choices)
