What type of tissue paper are you using? Regular tissue paper would disintegrate with ink and paint. Where do you source it from? Love your work! Lovely!

Hi Deb,
It is regular tissue paper that I used. Very thin, like the paper you find in shoe boxes. It is very important that you use a minimum of paint, a really thin layer on your plate. That way it will not bleed through and you get perfect prints. You have to experiment a bit to see what paper works best for you. As long as it doesn't rip when lifting it up from the plate it is ok.
I buy it from a Dutch online store but it is not a specific brand. I saw some on Amazon, it was called gift wrapping tissue paper I think. 18gsm. I never used it but I think that should do the job.
Good luck.

I buy it from a Dutch online store but it is not a specific brand. I'm not sure where the 65gm came from. I just checked and it says 14gsm now. Maybe the 65 was just the total weight of the sheets. I saw some on Amazon, it was called gift wrapping tissue paper I think. 18gsm. I never used it but I think that should do the job.
Good luck.

It was a revelation to see you work the collage. That tissue paper blends in so well. What is it? Just regular gift wrapping tissue? Or something special?
